did anyone notice the cavalry...

i noticed they barely ever used their lances, chiv knights and gendermes for example, they mostly just used their swords when charging, which i didnt mind i thought that made them look even cooler, and when they engaged in fighting, they would always use their swords which is a big improvement, considering in mtw1 and rome when u charged your cavalry they just fought with their spears or lances which im not sure but i dont think thats realistic...

If you allow your cavalry to regroup and stand still a couple of seconds, they will regain their lances. And will use them again when they charge someone. If it has any impact on the strenght of the charge i do not know, but it could be.
Also when cavalry chase down fleeing peasants to ride em down like the dogs they are, they do not use lances but swords.

You need to give cavalry a decent amount of time to get in formation before you charge and for them to have a decent distance between the unit they are charging and their start point.

If they charge out of formation or from a position too close to the unit they are charging then they will use their sword as they do not have the impetus for using the lance.

They will change to sword as soon as they have completed their initial charge.
