Campaign Objectives
Are all the Campaign Objectives about Conquering everything?
It seems that every faction has to conquer X provinces and either Jerusalem or some historically coveted province.
Also the number of provinces to conquer seems very high, like 1/3rd of the map.
What about more subtle objectives, maybe ones that reflect more on the character of the faction? For example a Venetian campaign where you have to have X amount of money, including assets, at the end of the game? Or a Byzantine Campaign to restore Rome by either re-conquering or allying with occupants of Rome's former territories? Or a campaign for one of the Muslim factions to convert the Papal States to Islam?
The Conquer Everything motivation is great. I mean it is Total War after all, but a little variety in the objectives wouldn't hurt. Some fun challenges. Play as England and try to get France Excommuniated. Play as France and asassinate anyone who marries an English Princess until they get a 'reputation'...

Re: Campaign Objectives
Personally I dont like that Scotland has to grab Jerusalem, for a massive campaign I would have to say Scotlands target should be the Papacys area. However for Scotland I will be playing the short campaign because the target will most likely be London which I find more realistic. I will play on Very Hard so I get the full force of the English!

Re: Campaign Objectives
I agree with you about the Scotland campaign. When I play as Scotland I'd want the English to be hard as nails. In the grand campaign England will be the first target after the rebels, and a memory for 80% of the game.
