    Default Nvidia 93.71 Drivers

I have tested these new drivers and I am undecided on performance with the M2TW demo. I get lower frame rates, but my 3dmark score went up to 8487 from 7459. It looks like it helps, but my card can cream the visual aspects of M2TW. Other thoughts for people using this driver?

I'm using the Tweakerized 93.71, haven't tested it yet with the demo but I doubt I'll see any improvements if you guys are not. The 93.71 is a good driver though. It's not the fastest but it has really good IQ. Looking through the Tweaks R Us forums, a lot of people are happy with it.

A driver came with my 7600GS Nvidia card. By default the card's driver overid my existing 93.71.
My question is whether the card's driver is superior to the 93.71, for Medieval II performance.
The card's manual was outdated, so I'm leaning towards re-activating the 93.71.

For multi-monitor users (At least for me) the refresh rate is always at 60hz for the second monitor on H-span. This is very disconcerting to say the least.

Hi Alfonso, I generally saw a lower performance in benches when trying these drivers. I went back to 91.47.

Which driver should I download if I have the 7600GS for Windows XP home? And live in Finland? Does the international and Go 7-series/Geforce and XP Pro/Xp actually matter?

Just get the latest WHQL XP driver from nVidia homepage. Click

I've heard lots of complaints about bad performance in Medieval 2 with latest drivers, so do you all have this problem? It might be something like messed up default settings in those drivers. Hmm...

I would like to know if my game profile for the M2TW demo is good. Take a look at it and tell me if I should change something. I want to preserve the excellent graphics of M2TW while getting the best performance I can get. BTW, I'm playing the demo with everything maxed except no shadows and no bloom.

So what do you guys think? I plan on using this profile for the full game. Should I change anything?

I went for image settings: Performance. Otherwise I can't really comment on most of the other options. I'd be interested to hear the expert views on this too

Quick check by matching yours, I gained 1fps.

EDIT: Will be checking the profile and posting results.

Antia settings: Application-contr. (Does not matter with driver and game setting, all the same performance)
Anisotropic filt: Application-contr. (Does not matter with driver and game setting, all the same performance)
Image settings: Quality (Loss 2fps going from quality to performance. Should be changed to High Performance.)
Vertical sync: off (No change with driver if vsync is on in the game)
    Force mipmaps: None (No change)
Conformant text clamp: on (No change)
    Extension limit: off (Cannot change)
    Hardware aceleration: Single-display mode
    Trilinear optimization: off (No change)
Anisotropic mip filter opt: off (No change)
Anisotropic sample opt: off (No change)
Gamma correct anti: off (No change)
Transparency anti: off (Lost 10 fps by changing from off.)
    Triple buffering: off (No change)
Negative LOD bias: Clamp (No change)
