How do you think Attila's invasion will occur in total war attila?
Do you think it will happen a-la medieval 2 mongols or timurids but ramped up?
How would you like to see it happen?
Thoughts, ideas on this?

It'll be like a pop up after a nš of turns saying " yo, Attila's invading, do something"
then you just send and spy to wreck his baggage train and make him stuck the entire campaing, then you assassinate him with 1% of success rate and get +1000 gold from "seek for knowlege" bonus during 4 turns.
Then Civil War reaches you and you'll be torched ded.
I'm going with a Mongols/Timurids on steroids set up. There might be several triggers for it though, such as your Faction growing too powerful (such as in Shogun 2's Realm Divide) or perhaps it's set for a certain time, such as AD 434, when Attila and Bleda became Hunnic Kings, or perhaps in AD 447 when Attila became the sole ruler of the Huns. This option will probably set up for a good late game challenge.
It might also be possible for the Huns to be triggered to attack certain areas at certain times such as an attack on the Sassanid Empire post AD 434, an attack on the Eastern Roman Empire in AD 447, and then a big attack on the Western Empire in AD 450.
Hmm it is weird the Huns are going to be playable (I think so, look at the preorder poster)
So how will it all work out??

Hans is a horde type spawning somewhere in the steppe, modern Ukraine and on the border of Ukraine Slovakia, they will probably begin with a rather large army and it is possible that all the factions near them are paying tribute from turn 0.
I am completely sure they will be playable and CA is holding their announcement for some backward reason.
We know from a image that they begin with three armies in Ukraine as a horde faction.
I'm pretty optimistic. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some wave scripting over a course of years with notice on when they'll be arriving at the borders of where.

Remember in BI that some Hun units were larger than Roman and other barbarian units - this gave the Huns a tactical advantage in almost every battle, particularly those fought in the open a la Chalons.
I suspect the Huns will have a similar advantage again, along with scripted spawned stacks when under the command of the AI.
