    Default Monitor suggestions

    Hi
I'm just going through the process of upgrading my PC. I currently have an ilyama prolite E481S which is a couple of years old and was thinking of moving to a 20.1" 1600x1200 monitor. Any suggestions?

NB rest of system is E6700 processor, 2 GB PC5300,ATI X1950XTX, PSU is 380W, Motherboard is MSI P965 NEO (its a bought package).

Go ahead, it should do the trick, but get a better power supply that 380w will bottleneck your system. Atleast 550W if not higher.

You PSU is 380W??????? OMFG! (An undesired expression I know, but it describes the severity of the situation.)!!! Go get a real PSU now!!!

What is the PSU bottlenecking. I'm not seeing any problems and can switch the ATI card to overclock.
Its just that I'm going to order a second one today.

Ps anysuggestions on the monitor side.

I myself am wondering about a new monitor too. Is it worth getting a large widescreen lcd monitor or not?

Depends on the pricerange, but if you're planning on an LCD Samsung is really the best choise. I own a 17" one and i am more than pleased even with 8ms.

I was thinking of the Samsung SM204B which allows 1600*1200. It quotes 5ms response time sbut I've seen other items quoting it as 16ms response times. Only came across one review of it so far which wasn't too flattering.
