Medieval 2 Gold Edition(disc) install issue
I bought the gold edition from amazon and when the setup starts the error "This version of Medieval II Total War: Gold cannot be applied to the spanish version of Medieval II Total War" appears. But I have already uninstall any other version of the medieval 2. How can I solve this?

Re: Medieval 2 Gold Edition(disc) install issue
You will need to carry out a completely clean reinstallation of Medieval 2 Total War.
Uninstall everything again and check if something is left in your Sega\Medieval II Total War folder(even the save files)...make sure that the "Medieval II Total War" folder itself is also deleted.
Also, go to the control panel and use the "uninstall a program" option to check if something was left(a patch, DLC or anything) for un-installment.
Remove everything and then reinstall.
I suggest not installing it into the C:\Program Files but directly into C:\Sega\Medieval II Total War.

You will also need to clean the registry.

I used Ccleaner to clean the registry, but still, the same error remains. Anything else I can do?

Do you have 64bit Windows?
Do you or did you have any mods installed?

My pc is a 64 bit Windows 8. I tried to get the kindoms mod, but I didn't use it. Is there any specific thing withing the register that I need to erase?

Use a free copy of Ccleaner for removing registry entries.
Using regedit, search for sega, medieval, kingdoms, creative assembly, official, unofficial, americas, etc.
I'm running on Win7 64bit. Win8 is only a security layer deeper.
