if all you care about is the battle portion, just watch the egx video and the twitch video. those videos are uncut and shows off the battles pretty well. I doubt anything would change from those videos from now till release.
units still don't push. they would collide and proceed to stay in formation and kill, but never push forward. this seems to be the solution they came up with for warscape engine + the blob issue. I honestly think blobbing is 100% fine if the unit spreads out after the initial charge blob(just not as spread out as rome 1 units, rome 1 unit spread in defend mode was crazy, yes I am saying rome 1 isn't perfect

non of the tw games were) defend button is still not there.
whoever think it was a good idea at ca to take out the defend button for rome 2 really need to get a 20% salary reduction for a year as punishment, hell, demoted. one of the last remaining frustrations I have with the battle portion atm all because of the lack of that button.
just be like me. attila would probably be my last tw game if ca continues with warscape for sword/bow/horse tw games. I would not be one of the super stupid @#$%^ that

and moan for 1+ years on these forums. you probably wouldn't even notice my absence
