Default Family members age 1 year per turn! (possible proof)

I've been looking at screen shots and I thought to myself:
"If family members age 2 years per turn then surely all the ages in screen shots would either be even or odd numbers"
    so I had a look.

I see both odd and even numbers...
meaning that if characters can have both odd and even ages they surely age 1 year a turn...
    wouldn't they? :hmmm:

    45 (Odd)

    22 (Even)

EDIT: going off topic here, i noticed in the two screen shots that one guy has authority while the other has loyalty... whats up with that?? and whats authority do? :hmmm:

Or, one guy starts off at age 23 and the other at age 24 or something... this is not proof at all, sorry

Edit: looking at it again, ive noticed in both pics, it is the first turn in the game, so that just adds to my point.. sorry

And vahalla, that because one is the faction leader and the other is not- i assume one inspires loyalty in his members and the other has loyalty to the leader preventing rebellions and whatnot

@Wolf, title of the thread has the words "possible proof" in it.

And notice that my post indicates that this means nothing at all... im not saying that they dont age 1/year, just that your idea is moot

Actually, 1 year per turn for character ages is not good if the campaign map progresses 2 years per turn...that means the characters will be in a time-warp. Personally, I hope you're wrong, and that, to be consistent, everything progesses at the same rate.

no way!! this is much better, now they wont go by with the blink of your eyes. I dont care if the technology come sooner (reason they have the years give) if the players age as quickly as the tech came then the whole game play would be messed up!

Sporky, can you clear this up for me? you say that you are part of SEGA, work on the game although it is made by CA, then ask CA to fix something? You don't make much sense sometimes... What are you supposed to be exactly?

How do you know this? You say you work for Sega, yet, your writing style indicates you may be somewhat young. What do you do at Sega, exactly? If you do indeed work for them, but do something like package or clean the floors, you are doing a disrespect to your employer by pretending to know things. If you are from a higher position and actually have access to game info, you shouldn't be releasing info to us on this forum. If you don't work for Sega, then you should be warned by the moderators for pretending to be somebody your not.

    1 turn = 2 years
    1 turn = 1 year aging

The thing about this is I believe it will heavily affect character life spans. If this is hardcoded, you won't be able to increase lifespans as increasing Improvement build times to make the "turns per year" relative will be negated by a fixed how-many-turns-a-character-can-live attribute. Meh.

And how did RTW's aging system work? I always paid attention to the age of my generals, but I never looked at the rate they age. Personally, the slower the better.

I noticed that the one with athoraty was a Bizanteen chreicter and the one with loyalty was from Sicaly. Perhaps the Catholic factions have to deal with loyalty isues and the non-Cathlics have to deal with athoraty issues
