Game doesent listen to preferences CFG
Ive searched everywhere and people always ask how to edit the cfg etc ect i know how the thing is that I edit the cfg file and its also on read only i even copy it and paste to my desktop and open copy in txt to make sure game didnt change the contents of the cfg and it hasent yet The game will not change the things i tell it to in the prefrences cfg like Unlimited men on battlefield, widescreen etc etc im not sure why it wont do what im telling it too i could practically delete the cfg file and the game will still run like always

The game generates a new medieval2.preferences.cfg when it can't find one.
Some commands work, some don't seem to anymore.
You have to be logged in as Administrator for anything positive to happen.

I am the admin and Thats what if find so weird because I could delete it and it doesent generate a new one

8.1 and it does create a new cfg , i deleted it and entered game so it made a new one to work from but it still wont listen i even put the io file= true thingy and when i check it its saved and unchanged but in game nothing changes

Disable the UAC?
Take ownership of C: drive?
Install the game outside Program files (x86)?
