Last night in my Silvan Elves campaign (which is going great, for those of you who helped me with my Dale woes - this is going so much better, largely thanks to the advice you gave) the Orcs of the Misty Mountains were eliminated. I think the dwarves did it (they're getting far too big for their boots) by killing their last family member somewhere up north. Anyway, I went to besiege Moria, which had only been held by regular units, with a full stack backed up by another half one as I'd heard that besieging Moria causes the Balrog to appear.
Here's my problem: no Balrog. I launched an assult on Moria, but had to go as soon as I'd broken down the gate, so I didn't see much but I certainly think I'd have noticed if there had been a Balrog there. Lots of trolls and orcs, but yeah, no Balrog.
Does Moria have to be held by the OotMM for it to appear? Or have I come across a glitch? If it requires the OotMM, well, I can understand it, but I really had wanted to go up against this thing. Might reload a save if I have to.
