Damn, wish I'd known that. Could have bought it locally and just installed in English....

Everything is in English - sound files and text files as well?

I wonder if the other "localized" versions are also all going to contain the English files as well? Won't it make the game larger than 11 GB on the discs?

WTF is happenning with SEGA. It seems like it's ran by the Bush administration.

First their demo release plans were squandered, because of failed communication.

Now we have different release dates being stretched out over two weeks. Maybe they are reluctant to set actual timetables because the insurgents would wait it out and intensify their "freedom fight" afterwards. This is one fiasco.

Does Sega even know when its games are released?

Well, let's hope that this will cause an outrage in the retail and a chain reaction will force Sega to release early.

Indeed but Segas always been like that sicne the 8bit days. Cant believe they are still alive. They are just so stunningly inept. Its hard to believe they were smart enough to buy CA.

    And again....

The game while being "coded" in australia is by no means AT ALL obligated to be released in australia first.

    1. Creative assembly are a British based company.
    2. Sega is also not an australian company.
    3. Several members of the dev team who wrote MTW2 are from the british team.
    4. Games are printed onto their DVD's wherever the publisher can get them cheapest, in this case its europe.
    5. Releasing a game in the US or the EU first is going to sell more copies and garner more press for the game than releasing it in australia... its simple numbers... theres more gamers in the US and the EU by FAR.
    6. To release in Australia first Sega would need to either A. spend much more money on printing the game onto the dvd's in australia or B. print the game as they have done in the EU and then hope beyond hope that at no point in the time it takes to send all the copies of the game to australia that some retailer or employee along the way doesnt just take a copy and release it over the net. not to mention you would have to delay the game for over a week in the EU/US just so some random australians can feel better for themselves.

If youve realy got a problem with Sega not releasing the game in your area first... then by all means feel free to move to a part of the earth thats actualy located near another major market that buys TW games rather than living on the other side of the freakin world...

(this is like the 10th time ive posted something like this so forgive me if it comes accross as offensive...)

Ah, then I misunderstood you. I thought you meant the game files were in English, but you just meant the installation instructions were in English.
    I thought it sounded strange!

My Grandfather didn't fight a World War so that sixty years later the Germans could get MTW2 early! Only kidding. Now I have to find an equally lax game store...

SEGA have set release dates, but obviously some shops aren't following them.
