I have this same problem. It's stupid. I had to quit all of my HS's.

EDIT: So all i did was delete the SEGA folder in Users/"User Name"/App Data/Local/VirtualStore/Program Files/. And then my game worked. Weird.

I assume everyone here has MOS installed? I believe the issue is with a file in the virtual store as Legourou has already pointed out.

Yes I had the MOS but then I deleted it all and tried it without the MOS and I still had the same problem .. And deleting the Sega file? Then I don't have any place to change the folder name! Or enter the game cause with me no shortcut pops up like it's meant too if you have a disc .. So I don't know what else I can do

You are not deleting original Sega folder, but the VIRTUAL Sega folder which is probably the cause of your issues. Go here, and do these steps:

    1) Edit Security for your main M2TW folder.

    2) Unhide hidden folders.

    3) Search VirtualStore for Sega folder and delete it ( before deleting it, make a backup of ANY currently saved ongoing campaign, locate saves folder present in a folder of a mod installed - Third_Age_3 or any other modfolder, and backup your saved games).

Thank you for your help ! IT WORKED!!!! I actually played the game!!

So what I did was go into my Sega folder and 'CUT' the Medieval Toatal war folder and then go back to 'local disc' and 'PASTE' it in there! Then I went to my downloads and went to me TATW1 and 2 and copied the location of my medieval total folder and then installed TATW 1 and 2 and also PATCH3.2 ! And to make sure I didn't get any crashes, I turned my day light saving off just to be safe!

But it one question I wanted to ask, would the MOS work on this way or it wouldn't? Cause I don't want to run the MOS again and it stuffs up on me! So I just wanted to ask that....

Thank you so far for your help! I tried to explain it in words us 'NON computer geniuses' understand

But could you please get back to me and let me know if I'm able to rub the MOS like this or no?

If your TATW 3.2 works now, then:

    1) If you have free space on your HDD, make a backup of whole Third_Age_3 folder somewhere, in case you need some files, or if you screw up some other TATW submod installation.

I have a Solid State Disk on my other PC where M2TW and TATW is installed, and for me it is easier and MUCH quicker just to delete whole folders, and copy back my Third_Age_3 backup folder than re installing whole TATW from scratch. 5 minutes of deleting+copy/pasting folder vs 10 minutes installing TATW + 5 minutes some submod.

    2) After you have made a backup of Third_Age_3 folder, now you can install MOS 1.6.2+bugfixes. If you screw up installation, you can just delete whole folder, copy/paste your backup Third_Age_3 folder, and try to install again.

    Good luck!
