About Imperium in DEI

Is there a way to rise in Imperium without taking provinces?
I am currently playing as Rome and I am finding myself stretched too thin.

Of course I built every army/fleet/agent/edict for my current imperium level but they are not enough, at least for my play style.

You can gain imperium via creating satrapies/ client states.

You could also just mod the amount of armies, fleets, edicts agents you can get. Just rember that also increases the amount allowed by the AI so if you find the amount of their agents annoying as is you might not want to incress agent limits. I personally just incress the amount of armies other wise It feels like cheating I posted a sub mod awhile ago that increases army amounts by imperium level.

We were considering having imperium increased by some technologies as well (so you don't have to only expand to reach the reforms). We haven't implemented that, though.

Well yes, size isn't everything.

I wouldn't know about that though
