Default Doing things before activating the script

Well, I loaded the game and fought a battle to take the city of Corinth from Macedon. Victory for the Koinon Hellenon!

But right after, I realised I still hadn't activated the script. So is there any problem in not activating the script before fighting (and winning) a battle? I didn't end any turn.

A battle is not affected by the script. Unless you hit 'End Turn' button before activating it, you shouldn't have problems. Of course, the game might become unstable with time anyway, no matter how loyally you activate the script, especially as you approach the 200 BC mark. It makes one appreciate every new turn he is granted.

I think the game becomes unstable because of a large number of characters and armies. Anyway, that only started to happen in my Roman campaign. Also, I think the script becomes corrupted with time. I was getting CTDs quite often but then I copied a fresh script file into the game's folders and the situation stabilized.

What do you mean by "copying a fresh script file into the game's folder"?

Also is this a known bug? I expected a nice smooth campaign, I expanded slowly as Roman as historical as I could, now on my second Punic War at 216bc trying to subdue Iberia. I don't want it to end by a bug

It is if you activate the script and then load a previously saved game. Don't do that. If you want to play a different saved game, quit the game entirely and restart, loading the saved game you want and activating the script again.

I'm playing a roman campaign where I've relocated to Brittania, apparently I can finnally recruit legions in Brittania when it reaches 210bc as that will trigger the damn reforms. its a shame I will nver trigger the marian reforms.

I've just spammed end turn only playing to build buildings ever 5 years or so (I fill up the build que to max, I have no standing armies as the AI doesn't seem to want to attack islands).
