Kind of, it's best to play GC though, there are a few bugs as DeI will not be speciffically adapted to the Mini campaigns until after the 1.0 release. Indeed I but several hours into a nervii campaign that I have to abandon due to a bug with civil war in CiG. My game simply crashes and there is nothing to be done until the team has the time to review how DeI and CiG work together...
Basically you can play the campaigns, but don't get suprised is something breaks your game. I have heard tough of successfull HatG campaigns though...
Yes, Im playing as Caesar right now with no trouble.
Yeah I've played a bit of HatG, although I'm hoping that the after 1.0 the Roman/allies system is modified a bit. It's not exactly accurate having Samnites and Etruscans around.
I think he means the factions that start as Rome's client states. Of course they're in the game really only so that you can try to "flip" their allegiance when you're playing as Carthage, but I'm not sure we should remove them entirely.
So should i wait for 1.0 befor i play them? Im sure it wont be long till its released
Dose the empire edition campaign work with this mod?
I'm not exactly sure the best way to handle them. I do like having factions in Italy that could join hannibal because a fair amount of southern cities did in fact join the Carthaginians. The scale of the map makes it a bit hard to perfectly recreate that but I think it can be done a bit better than it is now. Can factions be created? Because the cities could be separated into multiple factions. Also I think it would be cool if the ala units had to be levied from the clients.
So i shouldn't have no problems with them, good was looking forward to playing them
My roadmap would be something like play theout of rome 2 when 1.0 releases then play the mini campaigns when 1.1 releases
They are compatible, as probably said before (only read the OP), there are only slight balance issues in the IA campaign caused by low local starting cultures and DeI's customized recruitment system (Anthony, Lepidus, among others). But those can be worked around within 20 turns, if you focus on that first.
The Caesar in Gaul campaign as rome is excellent as there are no seas for the ai to get retarded about, it is a real challenge and DEI changes go perfectly with it. Sad to hear about the crash for the celtish tribes, I was going to try it as one of those if/when I win the rome campaign
Dose it work fine as rome then? And i did want to play as averni dose it really break the game
