Default How to play RS2 on Steam?

I followed the installation perfectly, and every time I launch the game from the RS2 shortcut, it just opens the vanilla game. For some reason, I can't open the mod. Any ideas to this? How can this mod work with Steam? The folders are different form other mods so I can't fix it like all the other mods...

To the best of our, perhaps limited knowledge, it seems that Steam/CA (perhaps even deliberately) patched the RTW/BI base code and has made most complex Mods no-playable with Steam now. Certainly I do not believe that anyone who plays on Steam can now play RSII.

I'm thinking of buying several RTW Gold discs.......and planning for the future.

RSII 2.5/2.6 Tester and pesky irritant to the Team. Mucho praise for long suffering dvk'.

Consider saving those disks as iso files too. I don't think it is illegal to have iso installed RTW as long as you have the actual cd keys so technically you can just mount iso image without having to wear down the disks and have legal install of RTW.
