    Default Across the Narrow Sea

Westeros was once more in the grip of the Targaryens. The Blackfyre Loyalists either truly turning their hearts away from their cause or being forced to bend the knee against the might of Maekar Targaryen. Across the Narrow Sea, a different story unfolds for House Blackfyre, who is among familiar faces. As Daemon Blackfyre once walked among the Free Cities, so now do his descendants, the remaining pair, Aerion and Aerys Blackfyre. The power of House Blackfyre was shattered in the wake of the Great Spring Sickness and hung by a thread. However, unaware of the other, both Blackfyres seek to gain renewed support and give trouble to Westeros in hopes of regaining what they had lost.

And so this story begins in Tyrosh, one of the Three Quarrelsome Daughters, a majestic city known for its bright colors, ornate helmets and the High Valyrian dialect. Here the relatives of House Blackfyre lived, those who were the family of Daemon's wife who gave him many sons yet vanished during the time that Daemon was exiled in Essos after the First Blackfyre Rebellion. For such a city, it is easy for a Blackfyre of Valyrian appearance to hide among the people.

Any and all who wish to create supporting characters for Aerion and Aerys Blackfyre may do so! Currently, Aerion is in the city with Aerys making his way to Essos.

The sight of an empty coin purse was becoming all too familiar for Aerion at this point. He sighs lightly, thinking of what he had to do to get here. Steal a horse, live off the land, steal some more...he felt like a robber and thief, hardly a son of the great Daemon Blackfyre. Aerion really regretted not taking up the offer of being a sellsword in the Disputed Lands. He had been reduced to poverty with no hope of gaining anything until the young Blackfyre came to Tyrosh. Aerion knew his mother's relatives lived here, somewhere in the city. Vague memories of this city filtered through his mind as he was just a babe in arms when his father fled here after the Rebellion. He rubs his head and knocks upon it a couple times, trying to remember more, but everything was fuzzy and vague. Aerion sighs and continues to walk through the city, maybe someone here had known his father and knew of his relatives.

A griefing woman stood near one of the Houses, her face covered in a dark coat she wore above her grey Quartheen gown.
In general, nothing would have been noticable about this single woman inside a whole crowd, but when she looked up, she glanced for a moment, as if she realized who the passing-by man from Westeros was, before she decided to turn around and try to go. Striking as well was that she seemed to be born in Westeros as well.

As Aerion walked down the street, he paused for a moment when he felt eyes on his back. He turns to see a woman attempting to disappear down a side street. She had the features of a Westerosi and not a Tyroshi. Aerion glances around for a moment before walking in her general direction. Was she the cause of the feeling from earlier? And why was a Westerosi woman in Tyrosh? He turns the corner and sees her again. Aerion picks up the pace to catch up to her.

The young woman trembled, curseing slightly as she fell down, but pulling out a dagger after she had fallen down in expectation to confront the man, who followed her. With a direct look upon her face, as the cloak was pulled aside by the slight accident, Aerion would see that the head of the woman was shaven bald, even the eyebrows being removed as if she wanted to give no evidence about her hair colour. Curseing she looked upon him, keeping her dagger still ready for defense.
"What do you want from me, Targaryen?", she asked slightly angered, "I guess your eldest brother will be happy about your found, right?"

Aerion's eyebrow goes up slightly at the mention of Targaryen. He makes a notable scoff, looking at the young woman.

You take me as a Targaryen? What a load of crap. I am a bastard of House Velaryon, Lucerys Waters. Just because I look Valyrian doesn't mean I am a Targaryen.

He then gestures to her, the cowering woman before himself.

And what about you, Westerosi? What is a woman of your features doing in Tyrosh? Shouldn't you be at home, in a comfortable castle with a fat noble as your husband?

"I'm not a noble lady", the woman replied, as if she was realizing that the man seeking for her was not a son of the family, she tried to flee from, "I'm Jeyne of Esgaroth. I was an apprentice of an alchemist, having fled from home, because... circumstances brought me to flee, but well... he died by fever three days ago. In any case it doesn't matter."
She put the dagger aside while standing up.
"What is your story, Waters?", she asked after a while, swearing that she remembered the face from Targaryen's family. But on the other hand she knew nothing about the Velaryons and since their family is known to have married often into the family of the Targaryens, it might be the case that the Valyrians do always look similiar.

A lone rider charged down dusty highways, following rumours and supposed sightings, searching for a man. A man with the bearing of a King and the features of a High Valyrian. Aerys Blackfyre, one of the last of his House. He knew he was gaining, the sightings became more frequent, memories fresh on peoples minds, it was only a matter of time before he found his man...

Aerion frowns at the response. This girl wasn't good at making up a story. He sighs lightly and rubs his head.

You really aren't good at making up stories are you? You really think I am supposed to believe that a lady is the apprentice of a dead alchemist? Try again, lady.

He crosses his arms and looks at her, waiting for a response.

"I can show you his house and the work he did, mylord", she replied confident, before she actually realized her mistake, "But fine... I guess you're right about the fact, that I lied about my heritage. I was supposed to be wed to a Targaryen and my deceased friend saved me out of this situation for a free life. And I would be glad if you can keep this as a secret, as you will regret it, if you sell me off to the Lord of Summerhall."

Aerion laughs at the ending remark and shakes his head.

You must have not heard the rumors then. That Lord of Summerhall is now Lord of the Seven Kingdoms from what my ears have caught. I heard it from traders and travelers between here and Myr and throughout the Disputed Lands. So it seems you actually missed out on a one in a life time opportunity on becoming quite possibly a Princess or even a future Queen, miss.

With that, Aerion turns to walk away. He had wasted enough time taking to this woman and needed to get back to his real business.

" the Princess", she replied with a sneer, deciding to follow him, "You know what: I faked my own death, I killed a man already as he recognized me during our journey to Westeros, no matter the bald head and guess what - do you think I fled because I wasn't aware that Daeron Targaryen wouldn't become King some day? I would even upon the Iron Throne and the opinion of my great Lord father for their political alliance!. Be glad that you're a bastard - you can marry anyone you want and don't have to give a about courtly life! In those terms, my mother Danelle was always the worst!"
    She made a slight pause.
"Actually I should just kill you, so you don't spoil my secret, Waters", she replied in a bitter voice, "But well... with Manfred's death I'm nothing like a beggar. Give me a week and you find me again at the slave market. Those guys won't give a if I am from Esgaroth or once was a Tully."

Aerion pauses for a moment and glances back at the Tully. What joy, I found another privileged and pampered brat. He makes a gesture as if a hat was upon his head.

I will remember your background fondly if a slaver ever finds use for you. Now I got business to attend to...

He turns and continues walking for now through the streets of Tyrosh. Aerion then notices she is still following him.

...business that requires me to work alone mind you. I don't need some highborn brat following me.

She raised a missing eyebrow and let him go without any response, covering her face again. No way she would give the bastard the joy to follow her.

Aerion continues on with his business, sighing lightly. Highborn women can act so strangely in the Free Cities... He went down a few streets and stopped, rubbing his head slightly. To return her to the Tullys would get him a reward, but he had no money to get him across the Narrow Sea. Yet if she was captured by slavers and sold, Aerion doubt the family would be very happy with that. With those thoughts in mind, the Blackfyre turns and goes back to where he last saw the woman. Damn this sense of honor...

The woman turned around, as she realized that someone was following her. Her eyes widened in surprise, when she recognized Waters.
    "What... you again?"

Aerion grimaces and grabs her arm, pulling her back the way he came.

You are coming with me. Stick close to me and you won't have to worry about slavers, just say you are...a cousin of mine or something.

She wondered about his sudden change of mind, slightly sceptical, even though she followed.
"Say I'm your whore, if it pleases you, Waters", Jeyne laughs humorless, "but I welcome your decision. It saves probably many men's lifes."

A highborn as my whore? That would attract too much attention and I would rather keep a low profile for now.

Aerion arrives at where he was last time and sighs. He wasn't sure where to go at this point. With Jeyne and using his alias, Aerion begins to ask among elderly beggars and folk if they ever remembered seeing Daemon Blackfyre in their lifetime in Tyrosh. His backstory was that he was a bastard son of one of Daemon's retainers and wished to give something of importance to the family of Daemon's wife. If they asked about Jeyne, he mentioned that she was a traveling companion who wanted to see the Free Cities.

1-5 no one has anything useful
6-10 people remember Daemon and can give some very vague information
    11-15 more useful information
    16-20 exact information

    Rolled 14.

One of the old beggars, when questioned, directs the two towards the city's cemetery. Among the plot reserved for nobility, he's certain he saw the name Daemon Blackfyre on a tombstone. While Daemon certainly wouldn't be buried there, perhaps the tombstone of his late wife would bear his name as some epitaph or eulogy.
