I don't think I have anything positive to say at all other than nice lighting effects from the sun. I'll leave it at that.
Looks big. Yeah, the lightings look good. Long live link to the past!!!
I thought the map (the map itself, not necessarily the overworld it represents) looked interestingly new/original (though is that Crescent Island?) and realistic.
From what they show of riding Epona it looks like they are trying to pull off Wind Waker on land... and make it work (to which I have to say, good luck with that).
Dafuq?
That's exactly what I was thinking. The overworld looks massive but mostly empty with not much to do (then again it was just a tech demo). However, the fact that Aonuma said he was riding through a dense forest when it had maybe ten trees on screen at a time is a bad indicator that we'll probably have a huge but mostly empty world in between the important spots.
Even though you have very little control over Epona now?
I found it strange they put an emphasis on that and the audience reacted like it was something wildly new. I guess no one played Kingdom Under Fire to realize they ripped Ellen's signature move: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhFc97Hx9fM&t=0m37s
That's probably the best thing I can say about it. There's nothing "wrong" per-se. It's just that it looks exactly like yet another Zelda game I've played thousands of times for the last fifteen years. There's nothing that tells me "Oh this looks like a cool and new experience with things I've never really seen before." None of the features they showed in it were exactly new and fresh or ground-breakeing, they've all been done in countless other games and much better as well. Massive overworld? Pretty much every RPG since 2005. Little control over your mount? Pretty much every ground based rail shooter I can think of. Super crazy slo-mo jump flip into the air to impractically fire off an arrow? Exact same move from Kingdom Under Fire
I can only summarize my feelings in that this game is probably step in a right direction, but it feels like it's playing a massive game of catch up to compete with modern RPGs.
Oh man, I was supposed to press Edit Post but end up pressing Reply with Quote instead. Don't reply to this post here.

Obviously yes, but what does that have to do with the statement "Looks big. Yeah, the lightings look good."?
ALttP is one of the Zelda games with the most dungeons, but deinitely not the biggest and isn't really known for its use of lights.
This actually looks promising. The world map and World look massive, open, and realistic. Certainly looks like it will be exploration based, so perhaps it will be a true successor to the original Zelda in 3D.
No more guided rails bull!

Do not le the FCC destroy net neutrality in America!
On Dec. 14 the FCC will vote on whether to destroy net neutrality or not! Congress can stop them beforehand, so tell congress and the FCC that you don't want them to ruin the internet!
I saw nothing wrong except for the super-anime-horse-jump-arrow-assassination. The world looks absolutely gorgeous.
I feel as though Nintendo is getting off its ass and realizing they actually have to compete with other games today. I'm happy they've realized that they can't just do whatever they want.
I thought Epona being automated because he put that beacon on the map and she was just automatically going to said place and you can ride her normally as well

Outside of its IP, I don't find any interest in this demo (again, I say demo).
Yes, it's Zelda in the openworld, but western gamers have been so acquainted with openworld flavor for like years and years (and eastern gamers may have been also). Looks like it tries to mash Skyward Sword with the openworld flavor or something. Maybe this will attract fans and gamers who start playing games a few years ago?
It annoys me more than it should how the crowd cheered hysterically at every other word the devs said.
CA needs competition.
