BIOGRAPHY:
Aurelia Lannister bore Baelor II a son and two daughters; Rhaenys,Aegon and Visenya. But the rule of Baelor Breakspear was weak, the King, unbalanced by his unfortunate marriage and the death of his eldest son, Valarr Targaryen, let the Kingdom slip into chaos and civil war, with warring states disputing the Targaryens’ claim to crown. Aegon was his father favored son and appointed heir, which led to the secession of the Vale, that defended Prince Matarys’ right to the Crown. When the Targaryen were dethroned and Blackfyre assumed control of the Seven Kingdoms Aegon remained as Casterly Rock’s sole heir.
Aurelia, Lady of Casterly Rock, she who had torn apart the Realms and shaped the Kingdoms with her iron will, died unexpectedly leaving behind a young son as Lord of the Westerlands. Recognized as true and sole Lord of the West in a solemn ceremony the child was put under regency formed by Abelar Lannister and the most prominent Lords in the country, including Lord Lefford and Lord Marbrand. In that ceremony he assumed the name of Tybolt Lannister, to honor his mother’s dynasty and its glorious legacy and in order to placate his vassals.
However calm didn’t last long, it was but a break before the storm. A pestilence, like no one had seen before, devastated the realm, a disease of unknown origin and seemingly unstoppable. It didn’t spare poor, nor were Lords safe from it. The Westerlands were shaken from their very foundations; Abelar and Visenya supposedly met their demise at the hands of the plague, as did Ser Eustace Lannister and the faithful hound, Ser Ryker Clegane. Those who remained grew stronger, bolder, richer and more powerful. But the land was devastated, nearly a quarter of the population was wiped out and quite a few Lordly families were extinct, including an entire branch of Lannisters of Lannisport.
Aegon grew to become a young, nimble and handsome man, with sharp smiles and a quick mind. He grew to be a true Lion, donning a golden mane, green eyes sparkled with gold (said to freeze a man on the spot) and a pale, delicate skin. The chiseled features of his father could be recognized on his face. However is shorter and thinner than Baelor, some say he resembles more the ill-fated Valarr.
The young Lord knows how to enjoy his status and spends his wealth freely, spending hours jousting, whoring, and hunting, like a spoiled son of the aristocracy. However he cannot be accused of not ruling his lands as he should, for he dispatches every day with his counselors and advisers and the West is slowly flourishing again. Clearly the unlimited wealth provided by the large mines of the West shielded it from economical stagnation.
Lord Tybolt married Lady Myrcella Hightower in year 220 AL, securing an alliance with House Hightower and renewing the friendship with the Reach, so fluent in Lady Aurelia's times. From thei union have been born three children, a golden son and heir, Gerold, and two daughters, the West's delight.
The West, leaded by Lord Tybolt rose against the tyrant, Haegon Blackfyre and gained the throne for Prince Maekar Targaryen of Summerhall, brother of the former King, Baelor Breakspear. Once again Targaryen rule over the Seven Kingdoms and the King has bestowed the honorable office of Hand of the King over his nephew Tybolt who swiftly assumed his new office and obligations. A new era has been inaugurated and Lannister now hold more power than they did in the past during the days of the glorious Aurelia.
