Sparta Trading

I am Sparta now hold Appollonia with a port and Brundism both sea trading ports but all factions are locked preventing me from offering a trade agreement...................Confused? Is this a known bug or am I missing something. Haven't played Sparta until now but if they can't trade owning two ports I'll stick to Egypt in future!

Known issue concerning Sparta. You have to hold a port which is directly connecting to your homwtown via land-route. In your case your only option is Athens!

Sorry I was thinking! Supposing I have conquered the known world with dozens of ports but not Athens does what you say remain the same because if it does than that's b----y ridiculous?

In fact it sadly does! You have to conquer Athens to trade as Sparta no matter if you hold the rest of the known world!

The Gatae have the same problem. You have to fight your way through at least TWO provinces to get a port city and then trade. Rather annoying, really.

Yup, vanilla problem, nothing we can do about it till CA releases map tools, if they will ever do it.
