Looks great! Hoplons have been fixed, a lot of new cuirasses/helmets and such![]()
In addition, troop transports act more as cargo ships than combat vessels, and are no longer able to ram in naval battles, reducing the unfair advantage of troop convoys in naval warfare. This change will be retroactively applied to all ROME II campaigns.![]()
Both the new DLC and Attila look incredible. I'm excited. Thanks for sharing!
Great, a new campaign featuring the huge amount of 4 (!) factions. And they are all greeks, so in fact 1 unit roster. Duh...
And please... can someone calm Will down? Give him some morfine or something? Gosh, what an annoying fellow...
Yeah, that guy needs to chill thedown.
Dont get too excited with what they showed for attila, they talk big show a city but all other cities are without detail, glitched or made badly.
Now I really think they're sniping at DeI 1.0.![]()
"You hurt me long ago; my wounds bled for years. Now you are back, but I am not the same."
Noooo... DEI 1.0 will never be resealed....!(
Just kiddingA new campaign is a very good thing!
I hope this DLC would get some attention from DeI modders as well. Currently, most of the efforts are on Grand campaign. Below are some of my suggestions for improvements which I just wrote on General discussion forum.

To sum it up:
- Persian involvement either (ideally) financial or navy stacks. Please no 10 Immortal spearmen stacks ravaging Minor Asia.
- Hellenic tribalism replaced by politics: democracy vs. oligarchy vs. monarchy
- Satellite states: Spartan system is military-oriented, Athenian system economy-oriented (looser diplomacy control, greater tribute)
- Naval battles: new navy stances named "Extra pay" with increased upkeep, increased unit performance and decreased enemy performance (simulating enemy rowers deflecting)
Thx 4 sharing Joysong!
Personally I think its an interesting decision to go about 500 years back and set a new campaign there...
I find it interesting cause I like that timeframe though it won't be anything about Rome (which actually is the title of the base-game) but we kind of know about that practice...
I am just afraid that it'll need some heavy modding then... I mean the skins won't fit and so on, the world and warfare advanced greatly during that time.
I'll just wait and see what comes, maybe CA surprises us in a positive way
EDIT: Only the mentioning of that IMO crappy 300 movie makes me shiver...

Why would they release this 2 months before Atilla? trying to squeeze all they can from fans before wrapping up Romeand they know how people love Sparta.
With that said, I will be getting both
The DLC looks very interesting - actually a new, proper map - that is something I am ready to pay something for. But I'll wait for when DeI supports that campaign too.
Atilla, I will skip. Because of R2's launch. Bad experience. Horrific memories. And then... a beautiful map, but premade Empires.
I rather play the fully fledged R2 DeI!
If, in the midst of next year (summer 2015), the DeI devs might choose this campaign map to be worthy of a 200BC starting timescale and all the startpos hassle and the imports of stuff to it, then yes I may get Attila though.
Wow, I will definitely have to get that pelopenisian war dlc. This is the scale that I've been wanting, super small scale and strategic! Dresden, after 1.0 is finished will the dlcs be modified, including the upcoming pelopenisian war? I've played a few dlc games but wouldn't mind the DeI team fixing things up a bit.![]()
