ay felllas wasup im new to the medevil series and was wondering if some of you could give me some info on the game.. whats it about ... whats your objectives.. what style of war... weapons.. and also.. where is everyone from.. i see from other forums that most ppl i see are from basically all over the world.. (im located in the U.S). i just want some general info before i think about buying the game when it comes out. Thanks in advance.. and plzzzz no smart ass answers

for starters, how about using correct (or atleast appropriate) english grammar?

putting that aside, go to the Medieval II Total WAR official site and read up about what they have posted there about the game. Secondly, i suggest going to IGN and looking up the previews and videos released earlier in october.

We have a large range of people here, you can expect to find just about every nationality.

Anyway, the Total War series are basically about waging large scale war against other countries. You use a campaign map to build and develop your economy, diplomacy, military might etc. This part of the game is turn based. You then capture new provinces wherever you choose. The battles are played over a fantastic 3d engine which has been developed for a long, long time. You will see thousands (literally) of troops fighting on the battlefield at anyone time, all in real time. How well you do on the battlefield determines how well you do on the campaign map.

I'm terrible at describing it, but google some screenshots for the game, you won't be disappointed.

There's also multiplayer mode and custom battles where you choose an army and fight against an AI controlled army on the battlefield of your choosing.

Another place you can go to get info on what the game and what gameplay is like is youtube. Simply do a check for MTW2, RTW or MTW and you'll have a good selection of movies from music videos made by fans with video from the game or actual footage from the demos. By the way it's okay if you 'atleast' as MattyP says try to use good grammar. Or not it is as you like.

I suggest you to try first Rome TW, then pass to Medieval 2

WOW, never been to a board where people are so nice! some boards i get on, the people are soo rude just because your new. Well thanks for all the posts helping me learn a little about the game. the large scale wars are insane on the game from the pictures i'v seen. I will def. get this game! Thanks guys!
