    Default Palestinian-Israeli Conflict

Why does the United States just try to stop the fighting for a while and then help both Israel and Palestine equally instead of always giving Israel more stuff to blow the crap out of Palestine with?

It is pretty easy actually, get a ceasefire long enough so that you can help both sides.

Because, this is as they say, if they stop providing Israel with weapons (bunker busters), they would be overrun by evil Muslim Palestinians.

Not to mention that the militaro-industrial industry is one of the biggest part of american economy. Face the facts: They need the world to fight, because it's good for their economy.

because palestine doesnt deserve anything? Dont treat them equally because theyre not equal, one is obviously inferior to the other. The only thing we should send palestine is food and medical aid, thats it.

I agree RZZZA, we need to send palestine less military aid and more humanitarian aid, ok, we can't send less military but we can at least send more humanitarian.

As for isreal, they are one of the few friends we have in the region, and we need to keep thier military in top notch shape so they can help us whenever they're in range. Lets face it, Isreal is basicly America's military without america's economy.

The conflict has been going on for centuries; if it was easy they would have been resolved their differences by now.

Well no it hasn't, actually. The conflict has been going on ever since Zionists started plotting to kill British Ministers in the 1940's, blew up the King David Hotel (killing a number of innocents, including Britons), and then occupied Palestinian land, evicting the inhabitants and committing crimes against humanity. I believe that's what started it. It's ironic really, because while people such as Hezbollah and Hamas are undoubtedly monsters, they're monsters that Israel has built up for itself.

Oh come on, Jews and Muslims have been at each others throats well before the 1940’s.

And they have lived in peace and continue to live in peace today in most areas outside Israel&Palestine. For example the jewish minority in Iran has lived in peace with the muslims way before the revolution and suprisingly, after the revolution. The Israel-Palestine conflict is not a jews vs muslims conflict but israelis vs palestinians conflict.

Not at all, from 7 up until late 60's about 500 000 jews have been moved were thrown out or fled the muslim countrys in wich they lived . In iran you had about 150 000 jews in 48, by 79 (the revolution) that had decreased to 80 000 , in a couple of months over 20 000 left, and the leader of the jewish community was arrested, trialed to death and excecuted 2 months later By mid 80's the jewish populationw as down to 20/30 000 it has remained there ever since.

Jews are also suffering from sanctioned discrimination like all non muslim religions in iran , jewisch cemetery's are destroyed, jews cannot talk to jews outside iran and over a dozen have been killed just for being jewish .

Indeed, there are Jewish members in the Iranian government. IIRC.

Not quit jews and zionist bought the land and moved from parts of europe and africa. Arab nationalism caused tension between te 2 groups and the brittisch gouv, both did acts of terrorism and both masacred the other (over 300 jews were killed in several pogroms) while dozens of arab got killed by jewish reprisal attacks. Both attacked the brittish, the arabs even in a revolt.

The resulting (civil) war led to the expulsion/flight of thousand of hundreds of arabs and jews .

Hezbollah and hamas date from far after that and have nothing to do with it, besides that if the jews lost, they would have never have a cause. But you can hardly blami the, being better.

That's not the same thing at all. Jews and Muslims may have had clashes, but we're talking about Israel and Palestine here. You can't equate some isolated religious/cultural incidents in past history to a currently on-going political conflict that clearly dates back to 1948.

Do you want this conflict to end? it's not that hard.
if israel sends enough forces to gaza and the west bank they would destroy the hamas and the rest of the terror organizations and reestablish military law, like it was before the oslo agreements.then, israel could sign a peace treaty with the palestinians without fearing terrorist attacks from the recently-independant palistinian state.

but this will only solve the palestinian issue. the wider arab-israeli conflict won't end in the near future.

Are you sure? Look at what happened in the Lebanon. The Israelis kicked the **** out of that country, and Hezbollah were barely touched. At the same time, they were also kicking the **** out of the Gaza Strip, but they didn't even win there either.

Actually its probably the oldest and longest running struggle in the history of humanity. It goes all the way back to the old testament. I refer you all to the story of Ismael and Issac.

Because they werent allowed to. Their handicapped by the same problem we have in the rest of western nations. Were too civilised to really fight a war anymore. The concept of totalwar has been lost to us but not to the muslims and Palestinians.

So using many thousands f cluster bombs, bombing civilian areas, and full-scale ground invasion, is handicapped? They had better weapons, better troops, and more troops then Hezbollah, they used them fully, and they failed.

Full-scale ground invasion ? Are you kidding me? Do you really beieve Israel fought with all it had and conducted totalwar on Lebanon? If you do your either awfully ignorant of the true power of Israels military or very naive. They could flatten the entire nation and take it over if that was their wish. They could do the same to Palestine.
