Plague... More Plague, Plague, Yes More Plague, O hey Valten! Bye Valten!

So been playing 1.51, have been enjoying the campaign so far despite some very harsh setbacks. I've had plague strike my lands, I've had an Orc Waaargh! Come in at the worse possible moment, only for me to save my entire game with an awesome victory at the gates of Altdorf. Ive come back from the brink of financial ruin...

And now it seems no rest for the wicked as I get a constant stream of plague events. Is this normal? I probably had about 3 turns without plague, then it came back. Then it went. As in, Altdorf was clear of it. Then it came back again. And now its spreading once more through all my cities and I've seen to be struck with plague now for at least 20-25 turns. Bug?

Also, got the Valten event which I thought was cool... Until he mysteriously died two turns later, an event popped up saying something about divine wrath. Ok...

Not that I'm complaining, I like it harsh. But this, something feels off about this...

You might have had independent soldiers who had the plague still and brought them into altdorf, reikland has a large problem with plague I would just go back a few turns and remove the plague events from the game.
