When is 1.0 coming out? I've been looking at all these sexy previews and I'm on the edge of my seat with excitement.

There is no official date and threads like these are constantly coming up. We would like to finish it before Christmas, but to be honest the most accurate date it "When it is done".

That is the release date for total war Attila. When Attila is released, the only reason i will still play Rome 2 is because of this mod.

It's amazing to me that you have faith in CA/SEGA to provide a stable release for Attila. I don't know how they keep duping people into paying full price for 25% of a game upon release.

I just hope they learned there lesson after Rome 2. When total war Attila is released I hope its fully optimized and in stable condition at the very least, I mean what kind of person doesn't learn form there mistakes? you'd have to be some kind of massive retard.

While this may well be applied to individuals, it must not be true for companies. If gullible people still put their trust in them and keep buying, they can use the same argument (What kind of person doesn´t learn from there mistakes?) still buy releases? No point in making them good. After all, the CUSTOMER desn´t learn,...

I disagree. You have to be a massively greedy bussines, just like they and the most part of the game (and others) industry are.

I will stay away from Attila. I swore this oath to the old gods after the Rome2 release debacle and DLC rip-offs, and I must keep to it in order not to make the old gods angry.

Thus, I will skip a TW release, and wait for the next one.

You can also sacrifice a virgin to please the old gods and then yo can buy Attila.

That would be great of DeI 1.0 was released before Christmas. I just got back into DeI and I had forgotten how fun it is. Played a bit of the Pompey campaign and saw the AI Mark Antony faction play a really good defense with navies. Held me off for 5-7 turns until one of their navies went down to a storm. One problem with Mark Antony's faction is that all the Greek settlements have 100% Greek culture so the AI can't recruit much of an army. Also, will 1.0 try to fix naval battles because I think they may be salvageable. Keep up the great work DeI team!

Tbh the ultimate saving grace for r2tw is going to be DEI 1.x + Populous. That will be the game rome 2 should have been. Patience, and it shall soon be had.

According to .Mitch., he's aiming to have a 1.0 version to go along with DeI 1.0.

The mod currently "works", that is to say the main visible aspects of it, I just have to get all of the behind the scenes stuff finished. As you suggested I do intend to provide a Beta build of the mod to any major mod looking to use it when I feel its at the stage where they can get a feel for how it all comes together and from there they can begin testing their own personal settings and values, etc. that will bring this mod more in-line with their own mods vision.

Ideally I'd like to have this mod at version 1.0 and released when DEI is at version 1.0, as their time schedule seems to fall inline with what mine appears to be as of late, and they've shown a large interest in the mod as well as their player base. So that's my goal.

They must be stupid to mess up the release of attila. Its build upon rome 2, now they have to make the ai and sieges better and you are good to go.

No matter if DeI 1.0 gets released this month or in the next two, it will serve as a great way to spend time while Attila gets released, polished and bug-fixed. By the time this mod gets boring, Attila will be in as good state as Rome is now. And once that game gets boring as well, Total War: Arena will be around the corner.

Hope the mod team have something in mind for future titles!
