Why Oh Why isn't there a marker button?

I think this is the first mod I ever encountered (and I play a lot of mods) that there is no marker button. Did it hurt somebody in the team, did do something bad to one of the modders families?

Is there any way or a submod to get it back?

When you press that button your troops glow up green and enemy troops glow red.

When playing without banners it could have its uses for getting quick situational awareness. I could use it to be honest, but I am not desperate.

I am aslo playing without banners and without arrow markers and still happily living without it. However, I guess that it is also caused by the fact that I am pausing the game quite offen so when I start loosing track I just pause the battle.

There is a very easy way to identify your troops without the marker. Turn the selection arrows option on from the option menu.

Now, if you zoom the camera all the way out and drag a box around as much of the battlefield you can, all your units will be highlighted with the selection arrows.

You get an instant situational awareness, and it especially helps when you have two factions from a same culture fighting in a battle and it starts getting messy.

I think it wasn't included, because the modders didn't know it existed. To be honest, I also discovered it, because someone else complained it.

Yes, it can be very useful sometimes, although I seldom use it.

It could be useful if you are playing mostly with the Eastern factions and battles can devolve into a mixed mobs of colorful pyjamas at both sides.
But then, with a careful command it rarely is an issue.
I'm playing almost exclusively Eastern and Steppe factions, with no banners or unit markers, and the only time when it's is sometimes hard to see who's standing where is in siege battles.
