    Ok. First off I'm not a pro reading this file. But from what I can see it doesn't look to bad

    Do you have in-game AA activated?

    Also do NOT use FRAPS with GEM

    UPDATE R2:TW GEMFXv1.0.2
    - added compatibility mode to the configurator which might help GEMFX to work for some people
    - updated a dirt texture thanks to Fredy AG
    - removed AL vibration
    - disable lens flare effect feature in configurator (until done)


    NOTE:revious presets will not be compatible, since the configurator changed. Please update them if you uploaded one to the presets thread.

    I got a problem aswell somehow it seems GEm does not create a .log file. Pic related i run the installer and subscribed the newest version on steam. any more ideas?

    Hello and thanks for a great mod!

    Since the update 1.0.2, i get the error

    [17:09:03] Welcome - GEMFX is preparing for DirectX9 application
    [17:09:03] GEMFX successfully hooked onto 'D:\Drev\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Total War Rome II\rome2.exe'
    [17:09:05] Couldn't open 'D:\Drev\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Total War Rome II\.GEMFXPresetscurrentGEMFX_settings.cfg'... Exiting

    Can anyone help? Cheers!

    Did you ran R2 with GEM? I mean are effects applied? (probably not )
    vcredits and NETframeworks updated?

    Which shader do you use ingame? Because actually R2 is not dx9 unless you use shadermodel 3. Maybe try Compatibility Mode in the configurator. I can just imaging that there are some effects in your preset that aren't dx9 compatible...

    R2 = Rome 2. So when you start Rome 2 can you see any difference compared to vanilla graphics?

    Ok, looking at your screen thoroughly again, you seem to have deleted the previous GEM (6.1.) incompletly.
    -you still have a d3d9.dll, delete that file
    -your dxgi.dll has a different file size than mine so I assume its old too -> delete it too
    -start the Rome 2 launcher once to force the download of new gem.pack (in case your gem.pack is up-to-date, nothing will be downloaded, thats ok then)
    -double-click the GEMSteamInstaller in your Rome 2 folder to unpack files from gem.pack

    Thanks, tried that but it still wont work. i added my gemx settings maybe somethings wrong there?

    yes it is

    Un-tick 64-bit application and of course "save configuration" afterwards!

    Since Rome 2 is a 32-bit app, using this 64-bit thing will just deactivate GEM (its meant for other games as you can use GEMFX for those now too)

    lel now it crashes right after start i deleted everything and try to reinstall it again hopefully it works then^^ But anyway i really appreciate your help and the effort you put in to get the mod working for other people
