I remember that odds in battle were 9:10. If necessary, I can reload and take a new screen.
May I ask why is it so important to show banners on the ''before batlle'' screen? To prove that battle was autoresolved is enough to show the armies involved in battle on the screen of a result.

Usually it's ok to not show them before the battle but it should be shown when odds are low to be able to compare the pre- with post-battle situation.

Well, I knew that your army was in Palanga, but on this turn Palanga was empty. So I understood that your army is hiding somewhere and sent my scouts.
Winning battles with lesser odds is a common thing, I've realized that while hotseating for almost a year. F.e. odds 9 to 10, like in the last battle, means that Lithuania had 9/19 chance of winning the battle (47%) and the Order had 10/19 (53%). So as you can see, the chances were almost equal.

Indeed it's about who attacks first, you have to make sure not to leave your troops and such in a vulnerable position.

It has become rather common for people to scout first as much as they think is necessary or depending how much time they have, for example by sending 1 unit through each forest and ships ahead, then reload the original save and play your turn.
