Remember, remember, the third of september, the Rome II treason and plot. I know of no reason why pre-order treason should ever be forgot.

Yup, included Free-LC. They have released Free-LC with every DLC (not that anyone cares to remember that).

By the looks of it the expansion also adds several new armour models, which in the following days and weeks will be used in dozens of mods. Be happy.

That is well and good, but lots of mod enabled these factions with much more effort put into them. And now we can't use them anymore until we pay CA?

I am surprised CA will soon release yet an other faction dlc for R2. Were are a few months before Attila release so it is a bit misguiding the public focus don"t you think ?
Not planing to buy it. The black Sea faction aren't attractive to me and Pergamom looks so sad with no walls and so few settlement in Asia Minor.

By the way I find quite funny how the factions description only present challenges for the 50 - 100 first turns of a campaign and remains focused on a relatively small portion of the map. It sound as if CA was admitting an old TW fan expression : " The early and middle game is a the best in a campaign. The late Game is usually a chore. "

i already played a Cimmeria/Pergamon and Massalia Campaign with DeI (including a more interesting unit roster...). i am quite underwhelmed by this news and i wont buy a dlc for basically just a new helmet model.

Cimmerian faction looks nice. We don't have screenshots and stats of their units, right?

Kimerian Greek colonies were something unique in the Hellenic world!
    Greek had rare hoplite archers
    Link 2
Greeks had their own school of arrow making!
but...Kimerians were more infuenced by their Scythes neiburs...
A Greek archer Anaxagoras from Olvia city had a record of 400m range with his bow!
TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
    read this to avoid misunderstandings.

IWTE tool master and world txt one like this, needed inorder to release TGC 1.0 official to help TWC to survive.
Adding MARKA HORSES in your mod and create new varietions of them. Tutorial RESTORED.

One thing I couldn't help noticing from the picture included below, was the herm in the background. I haven't seen that model before in Greek cities, so I wonder if they have upgraded the detail for them, or perhaps just for the city of Massalia.

I also noticed that. Also, look at that round window in the house. If I remember correctly, there were no such windows in the models of other Greek cities, and all of this together makes me wonder if Massalia will look unique.

Besides, it looks like Pergamon will be unique as well, considering the other images.

According to HeirofCarthage's lets play, Pergamene Noble's have an immense charge - 76 in fact. Brutal at early campaign. However, Pergamon suffers from poor public order early on.

I'm a bit annoyed with Colchis. It is my favourite starting position after all (one of the reasons I love playing with Armenia - north, south, east, or west - but this time, it's a more greek faction, which I've always wanted. Those Colchian Nobles with that 105 Defence and Expert Charge Defence... Yeah, let me just full stack that, cheers. But at the same time - only the one new unit? Eh.

I always loved Asia Minor. Many wonders and it is in a strategic position to conquer east and west

I caved and bought this at full price. Cimmeria is attractive for a rainy day. I'll probably play with a roster expansion, but they have a unique style that I really like, as DarrenTW was pointing out. I've played too many other Hellenic factions to get started with Pergamon.

This map is also of a much earlier period and includes some colonies that are controversial and may have never existed, like those in southern Iberia. Much more of Asia was settled by Greeks after Alexander, and their influence lessened or disappeared in others. Such as them being expelled from Sardinia and Corsica.
CA wanted to make Greek-hybrid dlc, that's why they dragged Colchis into it. There was no better candidate than it.

Sure there are many better candidates. Cyrene or Bithynia for instance. A large part of the world was Hellenic or Hellenized at this point there is no need to pretend other regions were more Greek influenced than they really were.
Modders can make Colchis the Caucasian faction that it really was though. By the time they are done with DLC nearly every faction will be playable.
