Umm, I don't think that Pergamon ever reached the shores of the Black Sea...

+5% corruption, but also +5% wealth, don't those more or less cancel each other out?
The game development business is one of bottomless greed, pitiless cruelty, venal treachery, rampant competition, low politics and boundless personal ambition. New game series are rising, and others are starting their long slide into obscurity and defeat.

You know how when Paradox makes DLC for CK II that unlocks factions, how they actually add new features to the game that would make playing those factions unique or somewhat different at least? Well this is nothing like that, same stuff from a different starting location. Oh -10% to building costs as Pergamon? Great...

Hopefully Massalia will be added to HatG. What's a bit funny, is I'm not sure what this is going to do to my buddies AAR as them. I think I'm going to wait for a sale, I've completed three campaigns as Hellenic factions.

    Colchis is weird.

I mean... It looks like they simply couldnt think of another faction to include into this DLC.

I in their place would have simply named the entire thing "Greek Colonies" and not "Black Sea Colonies" would have made more sence, alowed to categorise Massalia there aswell and given the option to make a differnt faction playable other than Colchis.

    Like... Rhodes, Cyranaica or whatever.

Pergamon isn't even on the Black Sea nor would i consider it a colony. There are many Greek factions that would have made more sense, preferably with a different name for the DLC. Massalia fits best as the Free DLC. More importantly they need to include more units and other content to make it worth paying for. I remember before the game game out they said all factions that are going to be playable will be playable from the start. Instead only 8 were available from the start and an addiction 25 have been added through DLC so far. I remember initially many of us thought they meant EVERY faction as going to be playable from the start.

There is a difference in opposing DLC entirely, and analyzing the content and quality of that DLC just like you would the base game. I'd be ok with the constant DLC that resulted in me paying $250 for a game if the final result was a good game. I can get M2 for $15 and get more than will ever be possible with R2. The Total War series now offers much less for much more money.

BTW there were Greek colonies in Colchis, it was not completely colonized by Greeks, but Phasis, Pityus and Dioscurias were founded by Miletian Greeks.

I already agreed that there were greek trading posts on the coast of Colchis. That does not mean the Kingdom of Colchis is Greek. Just as Emporion doesn't mean that Iberians were Greek nor does Cyrenica make Libyans Greek nor does Massalia make the Gauls Greek nor does Tanais make the Sarmatians Greek. This map is also of a much earlier period and includes some colonies that are controversial and may have never existed, like those in southern Iberia. Much more of Asia and Egypt was settled by Greeks after Alexander, and their influence lessened or disappeared in others. Such as them being expelled from Sardinia and Corsica. Notice while part of the coast of Colchis is shaded, there is no major colony.

Hmm, since there is a talk of "pre-payment discount" in CA's video, I assume the DLC will be released later (Nov 20?).

If I remember correctly the last few DLC`s were available for sale 1 week ahead of release aswell.

I really dont want to make a new account somewhere and upload money to it just to preorder a DLC for a -10% price.

I`ll buy it on the steam shop, where I still have some money to spend.

It seems that the Black Sea Colonies Culture Pack is not available on steam shop for some countries like e.g. Germany

“The only rule that ever made sense to me I learned from a history, not an economics, professor at Wharton. "Fear," he used to say, "fear is the most valuable commodity in the universe." That blew me away. "Turn on the TV," he'd say. "What are you seeing? People selling their products? No. People selling the fear of you having to live without their products." freakin' A, was he right. Fear of aging, fear of loneliness, fear of poverty, fear of failure. Fear is the most basic emotion we have. Fear is primal. Fear sells.” WWZ

Have you had your daily dose of fear yet? craziii
