Default Time running out for Iran nuclear deal

On November the 24th the deadline for Iran to find a deal with the US, UK, France and other European powers will be running out.

If no deal is found, some sanctions against Iran, which have been temporarily lifted, will be put back in place.

If a deal is found it would be a historic step that could resolve a 30 year conflict.

Even though the Iranian government seems to making steps in pursuit of reconsiliation with the Western world, most articles I read in papers dont see much hope for an agreement.

    What do you think?

It's sad that even now, where the West and Iran have a common enemy, there can't be a greater attempt at reconciliation. I would have thought that with Russia's rise, the West would have gone to Persia, a traditional anti-Russian power, to help.

    Russia's rise
    What rise?

    True - the sad part...

the West would have gone to Persia, a traditional anti-Russian power, to help
Don't really need to thanks to the House of Saud the West can just watch the budgets of Russia and the Iran wither. China might be a good market and also willing to circumvent sanctions, but not at the what $125 a barrel Iran needs to make its budget work.

Saudi Arabia doesn't share a border with any nation in the Russian sphere.

Attempted rise and now one likely to attenuated rather quickly as they pay for the Crimea and face low oil prices (below)

Saudi Arabia doesn't share a border with any nation in the Russian sphere.
Does not need to as long as its fine with $80 oil it can ruin all of Putin's current budget plans and projections. It's only a bit below its breakeven point and its reserve funds dwarf Russia's.

My guess is the House of Saud is just out to show it is a player.

Yes 80-85 dollars hurts NA shale and oil sand production but no all that much while the gains for the US are hurt for Russia, Iran, well you now pretty much everyone the US is bickering with that bases their budget on oil alone mostly. SA can ride it out and it close allies like Kuwait are still below cost. But everyone is dancing I suspect the real target is Iran. Again lots of the US and Canada get cheaper prices at the pump, the US Natural gas industry is largely unaffected as its still closed more or less, thus the Saudis are threading the needle asserting their importance and helping the US, (mostly) and harming their economic rivals hard (and thier patron's [USA] rivals politically).

Iran will attack Israel if Syria is attacked ,as they've said and it makes them inevitable allies with Russia, who wants to keep Assad and their Navy base there .

They have already played the world, and the IAEA, for fools by being delinquent on information requested around a year go. That is the research info that directly shows they were involved in researching a weapon. Somehow they have gotten away with not providing it for all this time.

So there is no reason for Iran not to accept this They can then provide that info to the IAEA and the world can learn that in fact they were researching a nuclear weapon but it longer use it as leverage at negotiations.
