Kuwait's Bidoon people are now East African citizens

Or rather, that's what Kuwait is trying to do.

So, I suppose if the Bidoons are made citizens of Comoros, it means that if any of these individuals cause trouble for the Kuwait government they can get "deported" back to their "homecountry" an impoverished East african island they have never been before.

Its a strange world we live in.

The Gulf States have a problem. Their citizens don't like working. So they hire third world people to do all the work for them, but their citizens don't want to give up power so they don't want to make their workers citizens. Kuwait however is better than the UAE that enslaves their workers.

Don't know about that, but the majority of Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE are non citizens.

during the 1950's a lot of "guest workers" were imported into Belgium and Germany (In Germany mostly Turks) In Belgium mostly Italians and Spaniards (and later Moroccans) In Belgium these people were supposed to work in the mines, and if they had children, those children were supposed to work in the mines as well, and then they were all supposed to leave again if they were done, which obviously didn't happen. There was a lot of exploitation of this people, and inhumane treatment, and bad living conditions (compared to the natives) but in the end these people were embraced by the natives, our former prime minister was an Italian immigrant born in poor barracks in Charleroi (Elio di Rupo).

Who knows, maybe Kuwait's next leader has been born in a shed to an immigrant as we speak.

Can we even complain about Kuwait? They were the good guys of the middle east right? we even went to war for them in the first coalition
