    To same thread:
AGP 8x: nVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT AGP

I mean unit banners and ground flashes, everything else works fine. What could do that. Thats by graphic card.

Everything else on high Resolution is 1280x1024 but puting everything on low only has a small effect.

    5-10 fps?!?!
your comp should be running it way faster than that.
Take your AA down to x2. and put antiscropic filtering to the 3rd lowest setting.
Also, i think you may have unit detail at high. put it to medium.

do you have lots of programs running in windows at the same time, clogging up your processor? (ie: virus scanner, msn)

Tryed that and still almost the same and no background program's are running when i play .so what your saying is that my Fps are not normal for my system ?

    Edit"

    @powerbits:That's what i'm thinking but some guy with a x800 and a 3.4Ghz says he's geting 30-40+fps Oo

Thats encridble.. would you say it takes more CPU power or needs a better garphical card. The previous total war was more cpu power...

Your setup looks fine for the M2TW. The only thing I would recommend is getting one more GB of RAM so that you have a total of 2 GB. One GB will do but with two, you'll have better performance.

You have a fairly fast pc and should be running the game WAY faster than you have described. Reformat your computer. You should rutinely do this once a month. Close down programs you aren't using before you play MTW2. You might also want to think about getting a better graphics card. A dedicated sound card would also speed up your computer.

Try a reinstall and see if that fixes your problems.

You format your HD once a month? I hope you mean defragment. Formatting a HD is a painful experience for me, trying to remember and download all the little programs and things that i had before, getting my PC back to the way I like it.

I also have the same problem as the TC.

    P4 2.66Ghz
    1GB RAM
    Geforce 6800 128mb

While not the greatest system, I expected to be able to play medium settings, bloom/shadows off 1024x768 as I could play high settings 1024x768 in RTW flawlessly. Yet slowdown in battles has reduced me to the lowest of settings and even then the game still gets jerky when action begins.

Im getting a Geforce 7600GS 256mb graphics card, hope fully this will boost performance.
