European pre-order - ship to US???

Anyone know why I couldn't just pre-order the game from a German or UK site and have it delivered next day to the US and get the game before the US release? :hmmm:

You really wanna spend a massive premium on next-day priority postage to the US 'cos you don't wanna wait a couple of extra days?

You wont get next day delivery.

The games out on the 10th wich means at best itll ship on friday, then itll sit all weekend doing nothing cos thats what happens at weekends... itll start being distrobuted around the US on monday and you MIGHT just MIGHT get it that day.

But most likely you would get it on tuesday wich is after all... the US release date and you will have paid roughly... $85 for the privelage seeing as the exchange rate is so great these days (for us brits anyway... £1 is $1.90).

Personaly ive been looking for a uk dealer that will get me the game on thursday but ive decided to play it safe and just pick it up from town.

Well, if I find the game for about 25 UK pounds, I still pay US equivalent retail, and the next day delivery fee can't be much worse than it is here.

Besides, if they pre-ship so that pre-orderers get the game the same day its available in stores, I might get it before the weekend.

same here Most people are crazy about pre-ordering but it's faster picking it up at the local shop... I have 4/5 shops 100 to 300 yards away from where I live... I doubt it will sell out before I reach for a copy

Here in the States around where I live no one has the game on release date fo PC games. We have Walmart, Hastings, and Best Buy. I always preorder games because I am tired of waiting a week after the release of a game to buy it first hand.

I'd do the same. You risk spending a lot more money, and you're probably not gonna get it long before, even later if you're very unlucky.

Because we get the game 4 days earlier? If so, then it's a pretty silly thing to be proud of.

I hope you think so because of something else. Besides, Europe has great diversity. I am proud of some parts more than others.

Yeah sure it rocks that its MTW2 and not some crappy z list rts game...

if you want it the day it comes out take a plane here on thursday, buy it from a shop and fly home

that would cost you at least an extra $2000, including hotels, food, plane tickets, and any time you take of work.

if you pre-order i support will be awkward, and you wont get it untill monday at the very earliest.

Theres an advertisement for buying Gold in WoW on this site. Nice to see that TWC supports things that are against the games ToS, but god forbid anyone post anything like a leaked demo for a Total War game.
