Demo not working for me

When I try to start the DEMO i get an error message:

medieval2.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

why???

Maybe your processor can't run the game.

My system specs is:

AMD XP 2500+
1.5gig PC2700 Ram
Ati Radeon X800pro 256mb
Sound Blaster Audigy 2

Try reinstalling. Is your DX9 fully updated. Do you have the latest video drivers?

I got the disc from EB games that were handing out the demo, and in the installing it also installed the direct x, so i dont think thats the issue.

make sure you are using the newest demo, only the second newer demo will work with your processor

I mean, that directx should not be an issue.
