    After visiting one too many shady websites, I decided it was time for a fresh start.

    Formated my drive, reinstalled Windows etc... What I did before that was to copy my EB2 saved games on a flash drive. After reinstalling EB2, I put them back in the EB2 saves folder. Loaded the game, it worked. I did notice something, though. I now have the "follow AI characters on map" setting turned on. It wasn't turned on in the original save. I never play with that setting.
    How do I get rid of it?
    More importantly, has any other setting changed? I hope nothing happened to the difficulty settings

    Can't you simply turn it off from the campaign map 'game options'?

    I think there's an option in .cfg too.

    This is one of those settings you make before starting a campaign... I'll have a look in the .cfg file

    Edit: Nothing stands out...

    ^I think you can change it throughout the campaign....

    Another way:
    -open your cfg file in MT2 folder
    -uncheck 'read only' if needed
    -paste:
    [game]ai_factions = skip
    -save the changes and check 'read only' again

    That setting was already turned on.

    What do you guys think about the difficulty? Could it have changed?
    I am still early in the campaign, the AI is too passive to tell.... Although stacks are starting to appear everywhere.
    Just so you know, I tried checking with Medmanager... it doesn't work on my computer for some reason.
