You gotta respect how he follows his own idea, and you see people laughing at him in the video, must be really hard sometimes. That being said, I don't think it's any worse than being a christian...

Its not that unbelievable. I've seen many white converts during my religious days as a Muslim. Its always the most conservative Christian types that usually convert. They are very attracted to Islam's extremely strict practices, I guess Christianity wasn't strict enough for them.
Check out this guy:

We used organise lectures for him here in Alberta, he's Texan too. He's quite a popular preacher among North American Muslims.
He, he, that was entertaining. Now Dubya needs to seize the opportunity of having US troops in Saudi Arabia and open that country to Christian missionaries![]()

The common culture of a tribe is a sign of its inner cohesion. But tribes are vanishing from the modern world, as are all forms of traditional society. Customs, practices, festivals, rituals and beliefs have acquired a flut and half-hearted quality which reflects our nomadic and rootless existence, predicated as we are on the global air-waves.

Pfft. Plenty of Muslims in Texas. There's oil here, you know?
It's really not such a novelty. I know plenty of Muslims here in Texas. Hell, I'm in Texas.
What's truley rare is a true Democrat in Texas.
Also, it's stranger still to hear Mr. Miyagi speak in a Texan accent.
The woman remarks that Islam has the solution to a lot of prevailing problems in society, to rape and drug abuse and violence in society.
How ironic, that the lands without a strong religous prescence are the most stable and safe to live in. Conveniently forgotten I think.

Well rape would decrease if shariah law was imposed since all the rapes that occured would not be reported as such since "it was her fault for wearing that skimpy burqa".Originally Posted by Seneca

Actually, this http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...2&page=2&pp=20 topic will tell you why I don't want to go to China.Originally Posted by sephodwyrm

Actually no. The Chinese masses are rife with superstition and cults. If you want to live in an atheist world the best place is Sweden, Czech Republic, Japan, Albania etc.Originally Posted by sephodwyrm

i cant believe it....... the guy says islam is everything christianity isnt.he must have enjoyed the Inqusition. I get very upset when i see a woman in a burqa. Its disgusting to treat a woman like that.
"Islam is the fastest growing religion in the US"
where have all the Christians gone
quite sad to see such a thing. If these women really wanted to follow Islam she would know that Mohammad would laugh to see her in a burqa.
i wanna see turning christian in Iran.

They have been emarginated and cornered into self-embarassment by an excess of secularism, and their own excessive pride, which in a perfect karmic reversal, is now causing the triumph of a worse theocracy, the triumph of someone else.Originally Posted by Lavastein

Just shows the bad side of religion, fickle low iq people partaking in religous practices to the detriment of society. Wtf do these people know about the apocolypse? I have a very hard time believing that these are the sharpest tools in the drawer of Religion. I'm sick of seeing the blunt tools, all I see is blunt tools, where are all the sharp tools to denounce these peoples misguided faith?
These people are bored, feel slightly rebellious so they convert to islam for the hell of it. This isnt faith, this isnt sincerity, I respect religious people only if theyre sincerely religious and have some intellect to back up their opinions, I just cant respect the people in this video. But I didnt watch it all the way through though, admittingly...

Many extremist Christians convert to Islam. It happens anywhere infact.
I think that the reason that Islam is the fastest growing religion in the US is because the other big religions there (Christianity and Judaism) have already expanded as far as they really could - Judaism is a religion that tends to discourage conversion (I believe that a convert is only accepted after his/her third request to convert), and considering that most other people in America are Christian already, they're hardly going ot convert to Christianity, are they? This is a simplistic position, but broadly speaking I think an accurate one.
Of course, the other religion that's growing fast in America is Orthodox Christianity - over half the students in Orthodox seminaries now (a significant number, I can tell you) are from American origins, rather than traditional Eastern Orthodox ones.
