First off, a big fat <<S!>> to the modders here, you guys made BI actually worth playing!

BUT!

I can;t play muh campaign!

here's the skinny:

got RTW 1.3 (also 1.5 but in another folder)
Installed BI
Upgraded to BI 1.6
Installed Invasio Barbarborum v6
Installed the v6.05 patch

at first no working, i could play maybe one custom battle, ctd at end of loading the campaign (no show err message)

got rid of everything, and copied RTW folder(not1.5) and renamed it to wut it should be "Rome - Total War"

Installed Barbarborum v6 then patched on to that, couldn't get into campaign asked me to select an item.

So i looked to past posts for wisdom and guidance, AH! i forgot to upgrade to 1.6!
so i get rid of BI, folder, copy old folder(not1.5), rename it, install BI to it
this time I upgrade it to 1.6 first
then i install v6 and patch it to 6.05
CAMPAIGN WORKS! w00t!1!!!!1

(i was sassanids, cuz i read it only worked for sum1 when they used sassanids in a post)

so i scroll over there, and pppft, CTD, no error shown.
AH, i remember reading this problem i need to run that "revert to CA" .exe
so i did

and now what is pissing me off
drum roll plz........

when I try and continue my campaign and it loads 1/3 of way and CTDs every freaking time!

What should I do? it worked before, till i scrolled to the west, but that revert thingy has caused me to be unable to continue my campaign.




i think it may be best to just try it from scratch once, completely uninstalling RTW
(and the painful process of getting rid of the patch, i'm eyeing at you, 1.3 and you 1.2)
and then reinstalling it, patching it installing BI and then Barbarorum all over again.

but idk, plz hlp!

Reinstalling process should really be: RTW,BI and then patch 1.6 -there is no need for 1.1, 1.2 or 1.3 patches.

If I had a 1$ for each time I had to reinstall ,I would be able to buy myself decent mp3 player (one I own at present simply sucks) :tooth:
