difference at units between early and late campaign

I have started, stainless steel 6.4, ealy campaign, with byzantine empire
Although, i have some questions
I worry about the possibility, to have not many units, as the late campaign, for example varangians scholarii and more
At the custom battle, if you choose early period, you ll have one line and half units and if choose late, you ll have 3 lines and more units
Is this tha same for the campaign ??? If i choose late campaign, i ll have more units at barracks or stables ??

If i change the number of turns, to have the double, i will delay the events and progress of buildings soldiers ???

in late era you have more military buildings, because it is starting simply later... so there are many more units you can have in early era at this time too
