    Default "feels unappreciated" incredibly annoying...

Hi, I've been playing Stainless Steel 6.3 (I know there is a 6.4 update now but I didnt see it when I installed and don't want to start a new campaign just yet), I'm just wondering, is there any way to prevent "feels unappreciated" traits? They appear on all my generals even if they are in a town for only a turn or two, it seems like a broken mechanic to me.

For example, in my current game Robin just came of age and has become the faction heir, in his first 3 turns he led an army of over 1100 troops and captured Angers from the French, I left him in Angers for ONE TURN and now he feels unapreciated.... what the hell?

Is there a way to prevent this? or just remove it completely? Does 6.4 update do anything to fix it?

I rarely get the Unappreciated trait in SS6.4

Plus SS6.4 has lots of awesome sub-mods available, definitely worth installing if the Unappreciated trait annoys you that much

I actually have this very same problem with the Norse in my current campaign in SS 6.4.. So I dont think it gets fixed, OR I ed up my SS install a long time ago and I'm playing a broken SS 6.4..

Yeah I get this all the time as well. Very, very annoying indeed.

Well, I will try updating to 6.4 then and see if that helps at all, I really wish I could just remove that line of traits completely, it just seems like such a chore trying to keep governors from getting it

But when someone that has no reason at all to feel unappreciated gets it that's what really annoys me

6.4 did nothing to fix it
On turn 4 of a new game I captured Caernarvon with Duke Robert... and he feels unappreciated... I really hate that trait....

After checking the trait triggers, they all seem valid reasons
perhaps the trait description is too vague to actually reflect this

general lost battle has 50% chances of getting the trait

chivalrous general ordered to execute prisoners has 33% chances of getting the trait

chivalrous general ordered to exterminate population has 50% chances of getting the trait

if faction has been excommunicated a pious general has 50% chances of getting the trait every turn

if general is a good commander, ends turn in settlement without stone walls/castle and is more than 75 tiles? away from the capital has 5% chances of getting the trait

if not faction heir and get adopted brothers, has a 33% of getting the trait

simply being chivalrous while the leader is not has a 5% chance of giving the trait every turn

chivalrous general has 50% chances to get trait if player declines a tourney offer

Well... I suppose Duke Robert fell victim to some very poor luck then since the only one that would qualify for him would be the 5% chance for ending turn in a settlement without stone walls (or did you mean it has to be without stone walls AND 75 tiles away from capital?) and my faction had been excommunicated so I guess that's why Robin got it.... hmm.

Are those all the triggers for it? That will certainly make it a bit easier to try and prevent it, thanks

All very interesting, although its not surprising that so many generals earn this trait, simply all the above, means odds wise the roll of the dice will see him fall into one, so many chances
