    Default Siphonatores CTD

    Getting an unspecified error CTD at various points during a siege of Constantinople. Always occurs when my Siphonatores engage an enemy. Sometimes they can fire multiple times before crashing, other times the first volley causes the crash.

    I've seen a couple dead end threads on this, but no answers. Any ideas?

    maybe a missing sound file or bugged particle effect

    EDIT:

    In mods\SS6.3\default.cfg look for:
    level=* error
    #level=* trace

    change it to:
    #level=* error
    level=* trace

    Then recreate the crash, and then post the last 20 or so lines in system.log.txt or attach the whole file to your post (you'll have to compress it with a program like 7z before)

    Here are the last few lines of the log, set to trace as requested. There is nearly a five minute gap between the first of these entries and any prior events.

    Interested to hear any feedback.

    It looks like it is calling for files from the mod and substituting with the vanilla equivalent where no such file is found. It seems to follow a pattern of missing/found, except where the enemy general death is concerned. I noticed it called for a .dds.tga but no such extension ever reports being found.

    what about using siphonatores in custom battles, do they crash there as well?

    cause if not it might be something else causing it

    I have used them during other battles in same campaign without having the issue, but I have not tried a custom battle yet. I will give it a shot and see what happens.

    Have you installed G5 RBAI and Settlement Tweaks updates?

    I have the Bugfix compilation and am running 6.4. I don't recall ever specifically installing those as standalones though. Is there a way I can tell, and if not, a working DL link?

    On the 6.4 Bugfixes there is an all in one, which includes Settlement tweaks, best wait for Meloo to come by

    the settlement tweaks are in separate download, although the link just right bellow the bugfix one.
    for RBAI, yes it is included with the rest of bugfixes main download.

    Has the problem been sorted out? I'm having the exact same issue but am loathe to apply the bugfix and have to restart my campaign. If its the only answer so be it but would like to know if its still persisting or if its been dealt with. Thx in advance for any further info.
