Seriously...am I supposed to care? Is the West supposed to care? Is Israel supposed to care? There's not going to be any riots over this..it's just some silly Iranians wanting attention saying ''heh, you insulted us, now we're going to insult you, and then see how you treat freedom of speech when used against you.'' So please, stay calm and make the Iranians think ''Hm..maybe they don't care after all..? Back to suicide bombing then.''
Apparently the Iranians think that Americans are all servile to a big Jewish conspiracy, and we all love the Jews as much as muslims love Mohammed, causing us to react as childishly.Originally Posted by Blokhoofd67

Anyway, it's plain dumbness: reminds me of that "hilarious" muslim reaction to the original danish cartoons: claiming that the cartoons showed muslims as destruction-hungry savages they decided to... burn and attack some embassies in protest. Contradiction anyone?![]()

well, she is a regular "contributor" of the "magazine" Rivarol, so it's not really a surprise as to what her opinions on jews are, and that she susbscribes to Faurisson's negationnist "theories"...Originally Posted by The DUKE

The holocaust is an undeniable historical fact, lets just let Iran think that they are right and get on with it. The cartoon is as lame as the danish ones, its just sad that Iran is being so childish about it.
Under the patronage of Rhah and brother of eventhorizen.
Let's let the Iranian President think that Shaun. Not Iran. There's nothing saying Iranians all or a majority think it was not real.
And that first prize one was really crappy.
The second one is quite a bit more powerful than the first. The one from Naji Benaji is stupid, given the amount of deaths of the holocaust far outweight that of Palestines. If Mohammadreza Doustmohammadi hadn't inserted anti-semitism with the old-time chariacture of the Jew, it would have been more powerful - Instead of being bigoted, it'd be making a point.
The best I'd say is Jaber Asadi though. It's not anti-semitic, is tasteful, and highlights the point of the holocaust often being the shield by which any action can be excused of Israels. It's not as blalantly anti-Israel as the rest, either.
It is too bad that they let some simple, bigoted 'bash the jews' ones in there, because it would have possibly come across to the west better if they had been more 'intellectual'. Some of them were, though.

I think it's partly about how that fact is being used today, rather than whether it actually happened.Originally Posted by Shaun
No holocaust revisionism that you are discussing seeks to prove that there was considerably less deaths than accepted history says it was.Originally Posted by Rapax
I hope you appreciate the time I am taking to write this to you as it is taking time away from my packing, it is a long trip down to London where I got me some embassies to burn. Placard waving a plenty and maybe even burn some effigies (it is cold! Would come in handy)
