was wondering about the can_swim attribute too. It doesn't work anymore that I can tell, but could the files for water be edited to allow it too? I mean light units without metal armor could be cool if they could actually cross the rivers on battle maps without the choke points of the bridges or crossing areas that are so limited on battle maps.

why can only x-bows do shield-wall, or tightly packed? I never tested to see how non xbow units performed with it. To my understanding of the discussion, wouldn't it make sense to allow archer units to go tightly packed too? The formation seemed to concentrate fire more to a target area, & also seemed to to make the units take less damage from incoming missiles that weren't also in the formation. As I said the tightly packed formation also made units more susceptible to cav charges. I was wanting to play around & increase the line spacing on spear units to make them take less damage from cav charges on other end of spectrum. As far as the actual formation in history, I think for the time frame, the Scandinavian & British Isle armies were the only 1's frequently using it still.

Because the formation is useless for melee infantry and archers realistically need space to draw their bows.

People discussed it some time ago, it was abandoned.

There used to be an option to disable it if i remember correctly, if you only wish to reduce the turns per year without editing the recruit/build/siege/etc times then all you have to do is edit the turn script.

    Welcome to the forum Kaizzzer

    You follow this site;

    https://www.mediafire.com/folder/u6i...h/v0.85Patches

Once you highlight the file, you will notice an arrow symbol pointing downward at the most right of your screen, press the arrow and select download(do this for both files).

    Thanks man!

I guess I should have wrote "install" not "download". I figured out the download part! Where do I move the files afterwards?

You just extract the files and then simply copy/paste/replace them over existing files in the Titanium_Alpha folder.

Just learned that everything that happened after Dec24th was lost, was there anything of significant importance that i might not know?

For my part I've been checking the files in the repo, remembering what i was up to, and came across this:
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...val-2-Kingdoms
remembering I started a remake of the EDCT, which will take some time to finish

Thanks for getting back into it mate.
Fortunately I did not upload anything too important.
    What is EDCT?

    Export_Descr_Character_Traits.txt
Yes redoing lots of trait triggers, which is time consuming

I am still working on the new models for the lowest tier of west and north European early era troop types.
You can log-in and click here to get an idea of what they will look like.

I suppose the latest patch for the early era campaign will have to wait until the new models are ready, which will be in late February or early March due to AFK engagements of mine.

Thanks for the fast repply and nice to see that here are at least some developers around (thought it would be dead like ss 7.0)

They look cool its really an improvment from stainless steel from which i thought was perfect.

    Only two questions
Will you insert the Teutonic Order too?
Will the late gunpowder get an overhaul in ters of graphic and stats too?

Sry for my english, have a nice day

The pictures in the previously linked post are of the Teutonic Order skins.
    So, that's a big yes.

    I have no idea.
It takes me very long to finish a model with all the skins for all the factions that will use that unit
Since I am the only modeller in Titanium (and as far as I know the only still active for M2TW unit models in the medieval period in the TWC) it might take me the next ten years to get to gunpowder units.
Hopefully we might have the chance to incorporate someone else's models.

I have recently installed Titanium. Twenty turns in and Titanium looks really great so far. The campaign map looks great and scrolls faster, the new small settlements are very challenging, and end of turn scripts are so fast. Of course I am just scratching the surface so far, but thanks for all the work and for putting it out there.

I do have a few of questions.

    - How does one retrain/reinforce the depleted cavalry retinue of Generals? I can't see a settlement where it's possible.
    - I am not quite understanding costs of upkeep for troops. In the unit descriptions it says militias should have free upkeep in cities and knights free upkeep in castles, but I am finding in cities and castes there is only a slot or two for any unit to get free upkeep. Is that right?
    - Are the Byzantines intended to be labelled Romans? Just wondering if I have installed correctly.

    Sorry for such noobish questions.

You cannot do that, you never could in any mod or vanilla.
The retinues of Generals replenish over time.

Yes, this is a vanilla feature as well, any settlement can support a limited number of units, beyond which your troops are supported by the royal coffers.

    Byzantine is Roman.

Thanks for your answers paleologos, and so quickly! I appreciate the info. And forgive my ignorance in asking such questions. I haven't played MTWII in about ten years, but wanted to jump back in with some of the best mods possible, such as yours.
