Hi, I was watching a show the other night and it said that Petra had an monopoly on a spice. (can't remember the spice but it was a common modern household one). In the show it said the this spice sold for 40 times the price of gold. It would be good if this could be included in the game. At that price it would even be worth it if you where in Gaul to launch a "crusade" and sail to Petra and hold the spice trade there.

The Nabateans (who build and ruled Petra) were famous traders that controlled the trade with southern Arabia which was the source of frankincense and myrrh and other spices. Holding Petra itself wouldn't control any trade as the Nabateans were for the most part completely nomadic, but the area could still be given a solid boost to trade income for historical accuracy.
