Pakistani teen, Indian activist win Nobel Peace Prize
i believe it was long overdue for Malala to win the award (not to detract from Kailash's impressive achievements) and she will be the youngest ever to do so. it's interesting that this is occurring simultaneously to the border skirmishes India and Pakistan are currently having (again), with dozens already dead. it was a particularly shrewd decision to share this year's prize with both of these people given the circumstances, hopefully it'll have some effect or at the very least it'll be another slice of irony.
some of the more eccentric nominations this year for the prize: Chelsea Manning, Edward Snowden (i.e: Putin's rentboy), and Hitler circa 1936 (i.e: Putin)
