Aulus had concluded his meeting in the senate and with some time to kill, he decided to visit senator Rex.

A young man, a Greek, comes to the door. Seeing the Roman he dips his head in respect.
"Good day Master, welcome to the home of Quintus Marcius Rex. I am Adeimantus, the steward. I assume you are here to speak to the Master?"
Indeed, is he here?

"Aye Master, allow me to take you to him"
Adeimantus walks through the courtyard, gesturing the Senator to follow him. He makes it to the other end and opens the first door on the left.
"Master Quintus, a visitor."
"Thank you Adeimantus, you are dismissed"
He turns to the Senator at the door, and noticing the stripe of his toga instantly stands.
"Hail Praetor, welcome to my home. Can I offer you some wine?"
The pleasure is mine senator, though I'm afraid I must decline the wine. I have been drinking to much as of late, visiting various senators homes. it seems all they have is wine. If it is no trouble I will have a cup of water and cleanse my body for a few days.

Quintus reaches over to his bottle of water and pours a glass for his guest.
"Of course you may, would you like bread and oil as well? Anyhow, I don't believe I've learned your name, Praetor."
My name is Aulus Rupilius Silanus, I have come to discuss a rising political faction I have recently started named after the roman republic called the Republican faction. The main goal of this faction is to unite Patricians within the senate to combat the rising influence of the plebeians. It is our hope that this faction will allow us to push forward our initiatives within the senate and will allow us to elect our members into curial offices. I am here to ask if you would be willing to join our cause and push forward the Patrician agenda.

Quintus smiles towards his guest and pulls a scroll from his desk.
"I suppose you do not know what is in this scroll Silanus"
He opens up the scroll and lays it across the desk, for Silanus to see.
"In here is the Lineage of Gens Marcia, dating back to the very first King, Romulus. My ancestors followed Romulus to the founding of his great city, we married into the Monarchy of Numa Pompilius and even had a King of our own, Ancus Marcius, fourth King of Rome. You may wonder why I bring this up, what does the monarchy have to do with the Republic? My royal ancestor sought to ensure the traditions of roman religion worked as they were meant to be, I intend to continue that legacy, although it is not religion that has been desecrated, it is the very basis of our government. It is time we set the plebians back to what they should be doing, working in the fields and fighting in the infantry. So in short, I would be delighted to join you in your endeavor, I have only one question: Who supports you?"
Quintus removes the scroll from the desk and places back in the desk looking intently at Aulus for a reply.
The faction is growing rapidly, but as of right now the members consists of myself, Senator Lentulus, and Senator Gurges. I am in communication with other senators and it looks promising.
