    Default Recruiting Governors/Generals

First off, want to thank the whole EB team for the wonderful release. This is really something wonderful that youve put together here, and its obvious pretty quickly how much work and dedication went into this release. Thank you all very, very much.

Started playing a few weeks after the release due to a job change and large geographic move back to the states, so Im a bit far behind most of you in my first campaign.

Ive searched around, but I'm unable to find the answer. Playing Rome, how soon can I expect to see recruitable generals in my provinces? Once I am able to recruit generals, I tend to keep most of my family members in or around Rome until they've matured enough to be given governorship of the home provinces and the important foreign ones. I'm sure I will get there eventually, but the curiosity is killing me, and a lot of my provinces could really use a (mediocre or even poor) governor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again. This is an outstanding game.

Recruitable generals were removed, i really loved that feature in EB 1

EB 2 devs, any chance we might see this feature renewed?

Most certainly, this is an excellent game which is just like an interactive museum, but 100x better

    Just do it.

Recruitable generals were not "removed", they haven't been fully implemented yet. There are non-FM Generals already in the game, which appear at the start, you just can't recruit them.

I see, so it can still be implemented, is there any plan to implement them?

There are tons of threads for adding generals bodyguard to the recruitment pool in the building file, though I have never ever gotten that to work correctly.

The issue isn't the general's bodyguard unit, indeed you can use pretty much any unit for the bodyguard, it's the non-Family Member characters.

None, unfortunately. Back in EB1, Client Rulers/Generals involved a pretty hefty and complicated script to make them work properly. All I know is that you can place them at the start of the game easily in the descr_strat.txt, but that obviously doesn't help with recruiting them.

Many mods did do that. Don't know it's you can recruit a general unit or just a script runs when recruit a bodyguard unit though.

That's the spirit. We should never forget that we are talking about an early release and we can't expect everything to be ready. In fact, I was surprised how complete a lot of the mod already feels.
