At this moment i've got 1 of 2 preview disks of the game spinning in my drive. Anyone care to know what i think of this early version

I'll pay close attention to AI and such and report back here. After i'm done conquering the world as the Byz. of course!

I do NOT intend to 'share' anything about this game except my experiences. So no PMs asking me to put it up anywhere. They will not be answered and deleted at once.

About the campaign, I want to know how important merchants will be and if troops still have path finding problems and how the AI defends in a fortress with 3 rings of walls.

Well for starters, post lots of screenshots of battlefields we haven't seen and stuff from the campaign map..

the AI has gotten so much attention already frankly I'm starting not to care that much; why not focus on some other things for example:
-Sieges, still long and tedious or are they more fun?
-Units, do all factions have the same basic units that look the same except for a palette swap?
-Performance, are shadows still the fps killer?
-Events, are there any scripted events or not?

Thos are just some of the things that I'm curious about.

Smoke, is there any indication that MTW:2 supports SLI (dual graphic card setup) and what is your impression of diplomacy.

Also, does the AI retrain or merge under strength units???
(It did neither in RTW.)

If it is not too much trouble I would like to see a siege, in screen shots would be good but a vidio would be better. That is the one thing they have never realy shown in its entierty and that kind of bugs me. Don't get me wrong though, I don't expect you to record a hole siege, a highlight reel would do fine but more than a few 5 second clips you know?

Yeah forget about reporting on out-of-date AI. sick of AI this and AI that. tell us about the tech tree. how do the eras change from early to high to late. are the movies good? How do you claim victory? What happens when you claim victory? how does Jeff VanDyck's music score compare to the previous titles? Does the overall atmosphere work well?

For the eleventy-seventh time, dismounting is in.

You dismount troops before battle when you are forming them.

I'd like to know more about Jihads as well, can you give us any info Smoke?

Yes, or so CA says in the official site. I know for sure that Byzantine Lancers and Latnikon can mount/dismount
