    Default 'Dead' Factions

I really hate it when factions lose cities then just appear to give up. Macedon got driven back to its island holdings and now it just sits there. Ive tried taking greek provinces and giving them to it, but it ignores them. Cartahge as been driven back by Numidia (amazing what some huge cities can do :S) , and now only has one mainland settlement left, and is trapped between two giants, Numidia and Egypt.
Kinda annoying though, because there seems to be very little war going on. Iberia and Gaul have a huge amount of stacks but just sit there on their respective territory looking at each other. Egypt and Seleucia could have an epic war, but neither appears to have any armies. Pontus Armenia and Parthia and being very passive and have no armies whatsoever, and Bactria has expanded but is doing very little also.
I meanwhile, the Romans, are simply sitting and waiting until a time i judge everyone to be built up enough to put up a fight.
I think i might start a new campaign and give each faction barely any money, that might give them the oncentive to expand abit more.

Yes, once forced out to the islands, Macedon, Carthage and Egypt become very passive. On the other hand, the Greeks usually repond by moving into Asia Minor. And in an overall statement, the campaign AI has not been very intrusive in RTW. There are mods that change the overall scope of the AI advancement, but mostly due to improvements in equipment and training.
This reflects the rather weak campaign AI of RTW in general.

Neither is this the dawn from the east, nor is a dragon flying above, nor are the gables of this hall aflame. Nay, mortal enemies approach in ready armour. Ravens are calling, wolves are howling, spear clashes and shield answers

Hmm... seems the ancients discovered Cold Wars long ago...:hmmm:

Anyways, this happens to me a lot. I hate it when nations just give up.

i find that the AI only really does much on the original imperian campaign map. it also has to do with the faction attitudes in descr_strat. check that out

jw1089, can you please post a list of the faction attitudes and what the different ones are used for? I was going to edit them but I couldn't find out what they were for.
