He is welcomed inside the villa by a slave. Lucius enters the atrium to greet the visitor. He hands the arms he was practicing with to the slave, and nods to a young boy in armor to leave.

He turns to Agrippa, "Welcome Senator! I had just started my weekly training with my brother when you arrived. Now what can I do for you?"

    "Thanks, Senator"

He looks both. He wears full toga, purely white as he was a candidate for the elections.

"Its good to see the young Patricians still exercise for battle, as they should, for there isn't a more glorious enterprise than fighting for Rome. This year's consul shall bring war to the Samnites, they must learn to respect our friends and allies; also we must defend the respectability of the Latin League"

    He waves a hand.

"But I've come to discuss this years elections, senator"

"Of course, Senator. Please have a seat."

He pours some wine in a goblet and offers to the man. Settling down, he replies, "I exercise because I know and acknowledge strength in arms. Were the foolish kings not driven out by nothing but our strength? But alas, I have seen a good number of patricians succumbing to luxury and humoring their military prowess."

He shakes his head and changes the subject, "About the elections, Senator? I am running for only a Quaestor position. To my knowledge, there are no threats apart from one man of strong will."

Agrippa sits carefully with his toga. He grabs the wine.

"Indeed, without a strong arm Rome would be lost. Hedonism is a decadent life-style, unworthy of a true Roman. We must be ready with sword and shield to bring down the enemies of the Res Publica"

    Agrippa looks the Julii sharply.

"There are just two candidates for quaestor, so it's almost assured you'll be eventually elected, and we need strong and young senators to expand and bring glory to Rome. I support the other Quaestor candidate Aelianus Sempronius Longus, but you seem to be equally qualified for the office you aspire, thus I offer you my support as well; both of you will be worthy magistrates"

    He sips wine

"However there are offices more contested, as who will be our consul next year"

Lucius smiles, "Of course, Senators. I admire such fine words. If only all would understand such sentiments."

Taking a deep sip of the wine, he continues carefully, "I am aware of the situation for elections. Why, I would be considered too young for a Consul, and so am contesting as Quaestor to keep on the Cursus Honorum. But thank you for your support, as like to the other man."

He gulps down the remaining of the wine, as dramatic indication of coming to the point. "I have heard about the Consul elections coming this time. I gather you yourself are contesting it. As to your opponents, I have only heard certain rumors. The one who shares my name is a proper citizen, but is a one with schemes to watch out for. The other, bah! The other I have heard, collects figurines or animals and other exotic items. What a cheek, by Apollo! So, I understand you wish to be a consul?"

Tiberius Honorius Lentulus arrives with his Wife Caecilia and sister Vipsania and requests an audience with Senator Lucius Julius.
A slave bows and invites them inside.

Tiberius accepts the invitation and accompanies his wife Caecilia and sister Vipsania in the house of Senator Lucius. There he saw his friend Lanatus also being present.

'Greetings my fellow senators, these days are busy aren't they not?' To senator Lucius may i present you Caecilia and Vipsania? 'Aren't they beautiful?

Tiberius sits on a chair and spoke again.

'But i did not came to here to talk about ladies, rather i want to speak you about something entirely else, i think you might know about what'

Lucius glances at Latanus, and smiles, "Welcome Senator Tiberius, please have some wine. And how about some fresh fruits for the lovely ladies?" He nods to a slave to bring on the food.

He refills the wine for himself and Lanatus, and another goblet for Tiberius. "Are we not all busy when elections are near? I was speaking to Senator Lanatus about this when you arrived. Perhaps we can discuss this further in the garden. My sister Lucretia will keep the ladies company while we talk."

"Following the cursus honurum is a wise idea, senator"

    Agrippa frowns a little.

"My brother-in-law is a proper citizen of Rome and a worthy candidate, nothing shall be spoken about him, for my sons bear his blood. The other is indeed a stranger choice, but is still a respectable patrician. But, indeed, I wish to be consul, to solve the problems menacing our Res Publica lately"

    Tiberius laughed

You're right, we're always busy when elections are coming. And i'm sure the ladies will be hapy to meet with a honourable woman of the house Julii Libii

The Ladies talked with young Lucretia about the latest gossip going on in Rome and quickly they have become new friends.

Tiberius nipped from his wine and toasted with Lucius and Lanatus

    'To Rome!'

    Tiberius spoke again

'About the elections as you probably know i'm running for Aedile and i'm looking for support amongst my fellow patrician senators. If anything we do not need plebs as Aedile'

'But as you know i have already casted my support for Lanatus as consul and more importantly support for senator Aelianus as Quaestor, however you must know it's nothing personal and i even would have supported you if he was not a candidate. However if Senator Aelianus fails in his role as i will gladly support a man as you in his role. The only thing i ask is to support my role as Aedile otherwise a pleb will take the position'

    Tiberius looked to Lucius

Lucius turns sharply to Agrippa, and speaks in an undertone. "Did I not just say that he is a proper Roman? But I had heard whispers to keep distance from him. But if he is your family, then I suppose no harm can come to us. And I will support you, and your brother in law if you also thought to ask, in this election and perhaps in the next. But next year, I become eligible for Praetor, and I hope our friendship lasts."

He turns to Tiberius, standing near an hedge, and speaks in a loud voice. "So what can I do for you Senator? For some reason, I get a feeling this is less about politics than about family alliances."

He finishes his wine and raises from his seat, his white toga shining under the sun-light.

"You have matters to discuss that doesn't concern me, that I shouldn't be involved. I wish you both good fortune. We'll see each-other at the Senate"

"Welcome Senator, pleased to finally meet a man I heard so much about. Will you have some wine?"

(OOC: Apparently there were five main symbols, wolf most importantly, until of all things the Marian reforms. Then they only used the eagle )

    Gaius sipped the wine gratefully.

"I always thought of the wolf as the best symbol for the city. But perhaps Jupiter's bird could some day represent the dominion of Rome... I think Rome must be dominant in the world before we dare to equate her power with that of the greatest god."

Lucius pondered thoughtfully. "Quite true, Senator and how fitting. A wolf never hunts alone, but in a pack. But we should know what we are hunting, even in a pack"

Lucius sips the wine, smiling at the man.
